BBT- same temp every morning!?!?

I only started temping about 2 weeks ago and not at the start of a cycle. So far every temp is 36.50 with the exception of one 36.27.
I am very consistent with taking it and I bought a proper BBT thermometer.
I was expecting more fluctuations than this. I Ov'd 6 days ago according to EWCM and +OPK.

Any ideas from experienced tempers? Even with the help of Google I can't work it out!!

If you didn't experience a rise, you probably didn't ovulate. I don't trust OPK. I unfortunately recently had a mmc at 9+4 but I never got a positive OPK on that cycle. Maybe you're having a weird cycle??

Sound like your thermometer may be a bit dodgy? I almost never get the same temp 2 days in a row let alone 2 weeks, no matter how consistent I am. If you did O, you would see an obvious rise.
I have 2 thermometers so when I think a temperature is unexpected, i can check it on the other one just for back up to make sure it's not the thermometer. My back up is just a cheap £4 digital thermometer out the chemist, but works just as well as the so-called BBT thermometer.

Mouse- sorry to hear about your MMC, I understand how hard it is to go through. My cycles are quite messed up so that probably doesn't help!
Carabella- I thought it was the thermometer but I've used it other times during the day (to check) and get a different reading. Might try and get another cheap one anyway, from other charts I did think it seemed unusual to get identical readings over and over! Rather blame the thermometer before I decide I have dodgy ovaries!

I'd also presume it was a dodgy thermometer, are you reading it straight away? I got one which was meant to save the reading so I would pop it in, go back to sleep and then read or when I woke up. It took me about a week to realise I was always getting the same reading too and it turns out it saved the first temp I ever took and wasn't storing the new one every time so thought I'd check yours isn't doing the same! It was fine if I read it straight away once it beeped though so just had to do that instead. Good luck!

Shiiiit!!! I bet you're right moonlight!! Didn't even think of that! I don't even switch the light on in the morning lazy bum. I fumble around for thermometer, take temp, roll over and go back to sleep then look at it later. Hubby even thought I'd fallen asleep with it still hanging out my mouth this morning . That's why it's a different temp when I do it during the day as I actually pay attention to the immediate reading.

Ohhhhhh crap I just re-read you got the exact same temp every day. Yeah I'd maybe try another thermometer. 🙈

When I switch mine on it shows a default temp of 36.50, I have to press and hold the button for a few seconds for it to show me the last saved temperature and when I release the button it goes back to 36.50. Confused me at first! Maybe yours is the same? My temp always fluctuates a bit day to day so would be very unusual for it to be exactly the same every day!

Thanks Sunshine, I'll try that and see if that helps me retrieve previous temp. I never read instructions because I'm such a tit so clearly no idea how it works (I thought it was straightforward!). Until I've properly sussed it I'm gonna check the reading immediately and not be so lazy
