Grumpy - would you like this? www.victorianplumbing.co.uk/maverick-thermostatic-shower-panel-black-bsp001?campaign=googlebase&gclid=CJPz6M69_NECFYK17QodjTYDYA type into google black shower head quite a few come up so take your pic

TheGrumpySquirrel · 06/02/2017 22:14

Thanks Laura yeah I guess I am fussy because none of the ones I like come in black! Only found 1 brand that do them -Dornbracht Tara - with very few suppliers.. have emailed an enquiry.. forgot how painfully slow this all is.. anyway builders say they can help source stuff so that's good

Feeling quite asexual now I know I'm not in fertile week yet - CD7. Even did an OPK to check crazy Getting on with other stuff quite efficiently! It's good because I know I'll be obsessed with TTC things later this month!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 06/02/2017 22:15

Thanks buzz yes I think that one may be an option if I can't get the Dornbracht

That's your queue to go and dtd gympy Ovia insists!

HeyJupiter · 06/02/2017 22:34

Gosh, I love it when Ovia is assertive! Grin

HbH04 · 06/02/2017 22:38

So much to catch up on!

Welcome laura very exciting hen & wedding plans! Really wanted to go to Maldives for my honeymoon but was so expensive in January we decided not to... Looks stunning!

Lush bathroom grumpy I'd love it if my 90s throwback blue marble with Grecian print became this overnight!
mummy our previous owners did EVERYTHING on the cheap too and we're slowly putting it all right now! I've lost a bit of motivation tho & can only concentrate on impending TTC.... I've swapped Pinterest for Mumsnet!

jupiter exciting that you have a FRER on board... Let's hope it's the only test you need!

I'd LOVE a girl! I'm a total girly girl & have 4 sisters & also similar to you confused I have a superstar nephew so would be nice for mine to be a completely different ball game!

HbH04 · 06/02/2017 22:38

Jeez, sorry for the essay 😂

Seven0fNine · 06/02/2017 22:42

She really is insisting there Grumpy.... Do the deed!! Or else!

Welcome Laura

Had quite a stressful and busy day. DH had a phone assessment for his mental state this morning. He's feeling good tho and the man said he can deffo help sort our his anxiety/depression which is fab. Then had a safeguarding issue at work which I had to deal with which has stressed me out because now I'm worrying about that child!

buzz I'm with you kind of... Been having all kinds of what if symptoms over the weekend but now I'm back at work today I'm thinking "don't be so stupid"... I'll test Sunday unless af turns up. Ovia wants me to test in 2 days but I couldn't cope with finding out then having to go to work!

MouseLove · 06/02/2017 23:20

Hi ladies.

I got my BFP on cycle 3 around the time the first thread popped up in December but unfortunately had a mmc last week at 9+4 and I'm absolutely heartbroken.

I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism in my 7th week and I believe it's what caused my miscarriage but of course that will never be confirmed.

I have been asked to not TTC while I stabilise my thyroid problem as it could have the same effect on a new pregnancy. I'll be seeing the specialist every 2 months with a potential for my wait to be up to 12 months. I'm absolutely gutted but this is really important to me. In the meantime I plan to focus on my health, fitness and wellness to be the best I can be. I also have rheumatoid problems so need an MRI scan which I had to postpone when I got my BFP.

I've been on a TTC journey for 3 years, losing 2 stone in 2016 and so I am really eager to try again when the time comes, I'm trying very hard not to let this ruin me. I'm 33 and desperate to have my first baby. X

xlaura · 07/02/2017 07:09

Grumpy - ah okay fair enough..I hate it when you have something in mind and can never find it. It's almost as frustrating as waiting for that BFP or AF to show up I think.. 😂

xlaura · 07/02/2017 07:14

HBH - I really wanted to go in really nice weather but as our wedding is in June I want to be pregnant fairly soon after (if I'm not already that is) and didn't wanna hold fire and not be able to have a honeymoon because I'm heavily pregnant. We did get a really good deal with Virgin, booked it last July when they first come out. 5* All inclusive, Sunset Cruise to watch the dolphins, meal on the beach, 200$ to use in spa etc, were in one of those private huts in the sea with a glass bit in the floor that's lit up at night and free wifi so I can keep up with all of your BFPs haha. All of that for 10 nights (we fly the day after our wedding) for £2k each which I didn't think was too bad. We paid £1500 each to go to Cape Verde where we got engaged. If you can't splash out on your honeymoon when can you? Only gonna go once so why not. Money can always be earned, memories cannot always be made that's my motto 😆

DancingUnicorn · 07/02/2017 07:22

Mouse 💐 I'm so sorry for your loss and your struggles. I hope you have wonderful people around you to help with the grief and be a rl support system over the coming months.

HopefullyDothButterNoParsnips · 07/02/2017 07:31

Morning ladies - lots to catch up on this morning! Welcome newbies, good to have a few more ladies in the group! Grumpy that bathroom looks gorgeous! Mrs congrats on blood test! Excellent news.

Had our first day skiing yesterday. All went well until I accidentally took a chair lift to a black run, almost immediately went out of control, fell arse over tit and then tumbled for about 5 meters and then had to spend about 45 minutes walking down the slope while sobbing hysterically at DH (in a big hormonal mess)! Have never been so relieved to reach the bottom! Nothing hurt except my fragile ego!!!

Hope you're all well!

HeyJupiter · 07/02/2017 07:38

Hi Mouse I was so sorry to read about what's happened. I can't imagine how you must be feeling. It sounds like a really positive plan though to get your thyroid and rheumatoid problems under control and then at least you know you are entering pregnancy as well as you can be. I suppose all you can do at the moment is take each day as it comes Flowers I hope you have a good support system around you.

Seven Am so glad your DH's phone assessment went okay, lots of best wishes to him!

Parsnips fantastic! Hope you're having an amazing time.

orangefolly · 07/02/2017 07:58

Oh mouse so sorry to hear that. Wishing you a straight road to health and wellbeing. You've still got lots of time.

Hi laura - welcome!

Parsnips Grin now you've christened the slops I'm sure you'll be fine.

Hb and mummy oh god tell me about it, the cowboy who must have lived in our flat before us! Just in the final stages of having our heating replaced and it has been a nightmare! Every hole they make seems to uncover some horrendous bodge the last guy did. Loving that our spare room (nursery one day - eee!!!) will finally be warm and cosy though Grin

HbH04 · 07/02/2017 08:15

Oh mouse sorry that we have to welcome you here under the circumstances.... Sounds completely devastating. Good to hear that you're being closely monitored & FX they can sort you out ASAP & you can get bk in the TTC ring. I was desperate to start but was put off for way more minor reasons (Zika) & it's really frustrating (I'm also 33 - very nearly 34) It's not a silver lining at all but at least you can work on getting fit/healthy & maybe a baby savings fund in the mean time. Hugs Flowers x

laura that's a TOTAL bargain! The equivalent to that in Jan was £10k minimum! I will live it through you instead!!

God parsnips glad you came out of that with just a bruised ego & no broken bones😂

xlaura · 07/02/2017 08:33

HBH - bloody hell that is extautionate?! I would not be paying that if it was that much, dont get me wrong there were cheaper ones that what we paid and also alot more expensive ones but it had everything we wanted and it wasnt too soul destroying either. I was soo tired last night I struggled to stay awake, Id like to say it was Pregnancy related but its wishful thinking. I think im asking for a miracle seeing as I havent finished my packet yet Sad boo.

Hows the BFPs and OPKs coming along ladies? Anymore good news??

buzzmoon · 07/02/2017 08:42

mouse so so sorry to hear that, I can't imagine what you are going through. sending Flowers you've done so well losing 2 stone. Have you set any mini goals for your health fitness and wellbeing? I'm trying to lose another stone on SW

confusedat23 · 07/02/2017 08:46

Hi Mouse sorry for Mother Nature being so cruel!.. stalker moment here but I used to lerk and have followed your story (feel free to call me a werido!). Have they given you a timeframe of how long it will take? We will help you get back to health and TTC again!Flowers

Thats good news Seven I'm glad they are offering to help DH... Also it is hard not to worry about Safeguarding issues with a child!

Laura your Honeymoon sounds so amazing and romantic... I went to Orlando and spent 2 weeks on rides, stuffed full of food or arguing with DH (I have been assured this is normal on Honeymoon) lol

Awh Parsnips it sounds like you are having fun! Honestly if it makes you feel any better I went off piste (i think that is how it is said) When I went skiing... I then fell over but like ontop of my own legs and the safety catches didn't undo on my skis... cue the most gorgeous PE teacher having to pick my sorry arse off the floor and massage my knees so I could walk again(I also had hairy legs) it was awlful!! Blush

Oh don't get me started about my flat!! Although the good thing is we rent but the worrying thing is the landlord actually lived in that shithole (Before we fixed it up) and din't have a problem with it! However we are lucky and the rent is really cheap so I am happy spending a little of our money making it nicer just whilst we live there!

buzzmoon · 07/02/2017 08:47

seven sounds like a very stressful day! Hope your DH is okay and today is less stressful :)

laura that sounds bloody incredible! I am so so jealous! We haven't booked anything yet 😔 Even if it rains, it will be that amazing hot tropical rain and you can just jump in the sea :) or go back to your room and dtd for the whole week! Grin

-prsnips glad you're not injured! Hope you're having an amazing time :)

Can I ask those that are temping what your temperature ranges are? Mine seems to be all over the place!

Hope everyone has a lovely day!

xlaura · 07/02/2017 08:58

Buzz - I cant wait thats for sure! I plan on DTD regardless i'd like to say more than once a day but Im a proper sun worshipper and like to be brown all year round so sun takes priority over DTD haha. But fear not, im going for it big time in May and June so hopefully it'll catch. Where are you getting married?

Confused - OMG I loved Orlando. My partner took me on a multicity for my 21st birthday last year. We had 2 nights in New York, 5 nights in Las Vegas (had my 21st here and went mad in Caesars Palace) and 5 nights in Orlando. Bearing in mind I've only been to Alton Towers once when me and OH were together and not been on a single ride since. My donut in my hair come out on one of the rides so I took 'The Windswept Look' to a whole new level Blush

buzzmoon · 07/02/2017 09:17

laura Haha yes! I feel like sunbathing is quite tiring too I end up just napping and not dtd 😂

Wedding is in a small village near where we live, we have the village hall and going to have a Tipi and a big BBQ and lots of drink 🍹 I'm quite excited now! Just got loads to do!! What about yours?

HbH04 · 07/02/2017 09:18

Hahab Hairy skiing legs & bun doughnut malfunctions are exactly the sort of things I need to hear at the beginning of a very long day!!
