Elective C-Sections

I already have one child via emergency c-section as my labour wasn't progressing. I was told that I should be able to have a natural birth next time round but the very thought utterly terrifies me after what I went through with my first. I know that if I plead the case enough I MIGHT be able to get an elective c-section, but usually these conversations/decisions happen when you're already pregnant. Does anyone know or heard of cases where you can assure you'd have a c-section before you've concieved? I wouldn't even want to risk getting pregnant again unless I knew 100% that I could have a c-section for the birth 😣

I have two friends who had emergency c-sections with their first babies due to prolonged labours (both NHS hospitals) and both friends were offered c-sections for their second and third babies.

My first DD was a natural delivery, my second DD was a c-section due to baby being breech and I've already been told I would be given the choice of whether I would prefer to go straight to a planned section next time.

My first was an emergency section, I had it strongly recommended I went for vbac as my second but was told that the choice was mine. Had a planned section in the end for several reasons. A previous section is actually one of the few reasons they don't tend to argue too much with you over if you want another section.
