Thread 25. TTC #1 - February Fertility Fighters on the FRONTLINE

Calling all OPK-ers, Temp-ers, Clomid-ers, Femara-ers, IUI-ers, IVF-ers and anyone else on the TTC #1 Bus.

We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area. We've ditched the Gregorian calendar in favour of the TTC Cycle Day calendar, and we don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts, we just keep it legs spread and fingers crossed (LSFX). We love a baby bomb from a prior bus-mate but if we get told to 'just relax and enjoy it' ONE MORE TIME you will get a punch in the face!

We have a new Grad's Thread. We recently lost a whole load of ttc veterans to the good side and we're absolutely desperate to join in the fun! May 2017 lead us all to upduffed heaven and the Grad's thread, amen.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly, don't convince yourself that you're pregnant in the tww. That is paramount!

Hop on board, post your stats and prepare to be dazzled by the wealth of TTC knowledge we long-timeys have to share...

Thanks everyone for the support while I was raging yesterday - DH did a complete 180 as soon as he read that article, apologised, was super nice and even insisted that I have an espresso martini (my favourite cocktail) with our dinner (which was his treat) while he had a lemonade! He did say that he feels pretty helpless in the whole process and when he read that 1998 study in that book, he thought that was the final answer in the situation so it was his way of trying to help me help myself (and us). He now knows that that's not the way to do it. So thankfully it was a good end to a stressful day - we never really fight, so am glad that's over 😊

Reading all the inaction stories about DH's reminded me of my ex boyfriend - it was infuriating! Hope you and your DH have made up now jam?

AF has gone now (lasted 2 days again) and dtd kicks off again today - DH wants to try dtd every other day from today until FW is over (FW starts on Friday) then every two days until AF. I'm still not temping and already feel more relaxed 🙂

Thanks for the congrats everyone, really lovely of you. Although I do feel a bit guilty posting it on here knowing that some of you are going through difficulties. I'm keeping everything crossed for all of you

Yep skipper - 2 days and no cramps! I veer from thinking it's the dream to oh god that means I basically have no lining all the time ha ha. Today, I'm fine about it! And steal away! I feel like if we stick to that plan, enough bases are covered to keep control freakery in check and it cuts the obsession down 👍🏼

Sorry about the BFN hep, hoping AF stays well away though.

I'm CD5 here so AF will bugger off in a couple of days and then we try. Struggling to find the enthusiasm for this month though, partly because we get the results of all our initial tests on Fri but mainly because I just can't be arsed. Hoping that changes by the time FW starts.

Spoke too soon - DH going to Sainsbury's and asked if I wanted anything, I said some Nanny State would be nice (a great non-alcoholic beer) and he snapped 'you can get your own drinks'. I asked what on earth could be the problem with Nanny State and he said why do you need it, why can't you just drink something else? Er, because it tastes nice and has F all to do with anyone else?! Then says 'look, I'm just not pro-alcohol' which laughable considering the piss head he's been up until about 2 days ago. Sigh...

Pyjamas - what on earth is his problem with a non alcoholic beer?! I don't understand. Does this nanny state beer smell like beer? I haven't found a non alcoholic beer I like yet, they always smell...iffy.

Yep - tastes like beer, smells like beer, it's an amazing non-boozy version! It's more like a pale ale than a lager though, which is why I like it.

I second carley- it sounds like your husband has a bee in their bonnet about something pyjamas as can't see why non-alcoholic beer is a problem! What a pain in the arse. Hope he sorts himself out soon and you can have some fun with this headfuck of TTC

We need to get back on the DTD action as haven't since AF hit last week. Not sure I can be bothered! 😬Think we will continue with EOD approach (as keeps DH from getting too freaked out) but might use my OPKs again after a few weird cycles, see where I am with things

Also, going back a while- I've finally tried out yoga with Adrienne and although it's depressed me with how out of shape I am, feel really good for doing it. Thanks for the recommendation whoever it was that suggested it! Excellent option when it's so bloody cold outside!❄️

Who knows what's got into him - all I know is that the weekend has been ruined because he's decided to turn into a judgemental twat since Friday. I'm currently holed up in the spare room/woman cave with my laptop and Netflix and he's gone out. If he wants to come and talk to me he can. The most ridiculous thing is that all of this is because he doesn't think what I do helps us ttc. So him being a total moron resulting in dtd being the absolute last thing I want to do is better is it?!

Rant away pyjamas. If I was being charitable, I would guess that maybe he's stressed about stuff he can't control so is trying to control what he can. But I'm not really that charitable and certainly wouldn't feel that way if it was my DH. Hope he comes to his senses bloody quickly!

I did a yoga with adriene video yesterday that was a core workout. I only managed half of it but I'm still in so much pain today!
