Ovulation advice much appreciated

Hi there, first time poster and ttc....I've tracked my cycle for last 6 months and it's usually between 24-28 days with an average of 26.

I didn't ovulate until day 21 - a bit late in the cycle, and it's now day 32 with no period but pregnancy tests are negative.

I think I'm testing to early due to late ovulation but frankly no idea really! Any advice much appreciated.

If you ovulated on day 21 and are pregnant, it isn't likely to show up for 12ish days after ovulation, maybe even 14. Some people get positives as early as 10dpo but it's unusual. Sounds like you're 11 days past ovulation.
