Hi everyone,

Hope you don't mind me staring a new thread as the last is full to the brim now!

Just to recap myself:

Age 31
Ttc no.3
6dpo
1st cycle! (Agh!)

Anyone else?

Anyway I'm still clinging onto the bus but feeling extremely negative about this cycle as I've had what has almost! been the flu Sad
Couldn't get my sorry head off the pillow yesterday and feel like I've been 8 rounds with Tyson aiming right for the lungs!

Going to test on Thursday 19th as had my last two Bfps at 10 DP0

And just wanted to say thanks to everyone on the old thread that kindly gave me advise and a much needed pick me up with regards to being so --pathetically - Ill lol I took all advise on board and today I feel like it's finally letting up a little (woo!)

Hope are well and good news is coming for us all!! X

WAAAAH powerpuff this is amazing!!!!!! Welcome to the October baby club!!! It's over whelming eh!!!!!!!!!!!!

powerpuffer · 26/01/2017 08:05

Flowers Yes!!! I don't quite know what to do! AF due on Saturday so I'll try and stay calm until after then, but who am I kidding?! There's no chance of that!

powerpuffer · 26/01/2017 08:25

OK, to calm myself down, I'll list things I did differently this cycle as I liked reading them when TTC.

  • I used a Mooncup after DTD to keep the wrigglers in. I laid down for a while first (half hour or so if possible) then before I stood up or went to sleep I popped it in and emptied it in the morning. I always thought that a lot was 'wasted' when I stood up before and this prevented it. Whether it made a difference or not, I don't know.
  • I've taken Wilko's Pregnancy Care Vitamins with Folic Acid. I looked at the ingredients and they are exactly the same as all other TTC vitamins, but are less than £2 a box so I gave them a go.
  • I temped, but only a couple of times before ovulation and then every day since. A bit of a dip (0.20 degrees C) 5dpo but it lasted 2 days so I didn't think anything of it, plus I just take my temp when I wake up which is not set times each day so I didn't think it would be accurate. It was more to give me a guide to do it seriously next month, but I guess I won't be doing that!
  • I had no sore boobs or nipples (common AF symptom for me), until a little tenderness last night at the outer side of my boobs and then agony when my husband knocked one this morning!
  • I've had a lot of stress with potential redundancy so the 'avoid stress' mantra didn't have any effect on me!

I'm still in disbelief. My husband is away tomorrow and Saturday so I need to tell him tonight. I'm so excited, I know he's going to be over the moon! We didn't think we had much hope this month as we didn't DTD as much as usual so it will definitely be a surprise!

I've bought a gift box and put the tests in it. Who doesn't want a pissy stick for a present?! Grin

passmethewine123 · 26/01/2017 08:49

Wow powerpuff

passmethewine123 · 26/01/2017 08:52

Sorry pressed post by accident!!

Massive congratulations!! Now I don't want to sound like a party pooper but given what has just happened to Chaos and that you are still early in terms of DPO please try to keep calm lol!! Fingers crossed you have a sticky bean though x

powerpuffer · 26/01/2017 09:12

Yes I know, I will stay calm. But if you can't get excited at your first ever BFP, when can you?! Grin

In all seriousness, I don't think I will get my hopes too high until after Saturday as that's when AF is due based on my longest luteal phase (all have been 11 or 12 days). After that, I'm going to pass out with excitement I think!

Kirsty8333 · 26/01/2017 09:32

Congrats powerpuffer! Lovely news.

I'm 9dpo and going to test tomorrow morning with fmu. Af is due Sunday. Anybody else testing early that was due af on the 29th?

passmethewine123 · 26/01/2017 10:09

I'm sorry I hope I didn't come across mean spirited! It's very easy as an outsider looking in to say keep calm etc but I know I'd be exactly the same in your shoes. I'll be keeping my FX for you over the next few days. Such an anxious time x

MissMagpie · 26/01/2017 10:16

Congrats powerpuffer. Fab news. So happy for you. What cycle are you on? Fx all goes well for you.

I love the list of what you did too - always nice to see how it happened!

powerpuffer · 26/01/2017 10:18

passmethewine123 Don't be silly, you didn't come across that way at all! My sensible head says the same thing as you. Thank you for your good wishes, I'm definitely hoping for a sticky bean!

Spud90 · 26/01/2017 10:30

Congratulations powerpuffer!

I'm trying to keep myself busy in the 2ww. 5dpo now and I've been having mild cramps a lot and falling asleep on the sofa which I don't usually do. Probably just coincidence though I'm trying not to obsess over symptoms.

We're going to my favourite thai restaurant for a meal this Friday. I usually get a glass of red wine with my meal, should I still get one or not since there's a chance I could be pg? Will it make a difference this early?

MrsG30 · 26/01/2017 10:51

Congrats Power! Flowers

Spud I've asked my cousin this question, and she says that while it's sensible to not drink for your overall health, if you drink very early on you won't do any damaged (early on as in you don't know you're preg)

I'm out this month, AF turned up last night 😞 I had a dodgy burger at mac Donald's m6 toll services yesterday, so had S&D all night then about 3am AF cramps to go with poorly cramps! Thankfully I manage my own diary so still in bed feeling sorry for myself! Onto Feb bus and cycle 2!

Motherhippy16 · 26/01/2017 11:36

Congratulations powerpuff!!!

Motherhippy16 · 26/01/2017 12:28

Fx that af stays away...really pleased for you!!! X x x x Flowers FlowersFlowers

Itsjustaphase84 · 26/01/2017 13:26

Congratulations poweepuff. What days did you Dtd if you don't mind me asking. X

powerpuffer · 26/01/2017 13:42

Course not - we DTD CD12, 13 and 14 which were the 3 days leading up to Ovulation and then again 2 days after on CD17. One of those worked! We weren't very confident as DH was tired/ill and not as errr 'productive' as usual. He asked me on Tuesday what day AF was due as we had written this month off - I can't wait to see his face when I show him the test tonight!

2ducks2ducklings · 26/01/2017 13:50

Congratulations Power!

Flowers88 · 26/01/2017 16:59

Oh mrsG I'm so sorry :( good luck on the Feb bus Flowers

RoseValleyRambles · 26/01/2017 17:12

Dudes, I'm getting slight spotting instead of af, and have been light headed and now turning nauseaus all arvo. Eek! Testing sat. Any tips for not vomiting on colleagues / transport gratefully received - just found some ginger tea.

Flowers88 · 26/01/2017 17:21

Sounds positive rose!

MrsG30 · 26/01/2017 18:34

It's alright - I have a feeling being so ill last night has brought me on early, otherwise it's a 23 day cycle! I'm not feeling upset, just positive about Feb 😊

Ooh good luck rose Flowers

glitteryvibes · 26/01/2017 19:40

rose ive had bouts of nausea last few days and a slihgt odd feeling (i wouldnt say painful as such but sort of a dull stabbing) on and off in pelvic area last few days. AF due tomorrow based on previous 26 day cycles. today have started brown spotting quite light and this afternoon mild af type cramps have started but not so painful. thinking AF will arrive tomorrow as i have previously spotted for a day before AF starts fully. Also today i swear i have had to urinate way more than often, but i actually dont know if this is a normal pms thing for me tbh, but its pretty annoying!

congrats power hope all goes well!

sarahboro1 · 26/01/2017 19:40

Congratulations powerpuff!! Great news for you, fx for a sticky one.

I'm still waiting. Cd 33 now, normally 28, this is the longest I've ever been!! No signs either way really, very sore boobs, intermittent tummy ache, had a bfn on Saturday so just waiting for af really. Bored now, just want to get on with ttc!!! Xx

minime2016 · 26/01/2017 19:43

I'm now CD26-(although Ovia says I'm due on Sunday, my cycles have been 26 days in average since the summer) and have had cramps all day but no af yet. I've now got sore boobs, like proper sore. Headache and sore throat tonight. Don't know what to be thinking at this point. Have to wait and see I guess!

RoseValleyRambles · 26/01/2017 19:54

Lots of symptoms lurking! Glittery I hope af holds off. I don't think I've ever had spotting like this before af, but going by past experience that's no guarantee. Found some ginger tea and now feeling back to normal.
