How many dpo can one get a bfp realistically

Hi,
I'm either 8 or 9 dpo and am having similar feelings as I've had in other pregnancies, sore breasts, waves of nausea, tiredness etc. Tested with frer and ic today, both bfn. Realistically when would I be likely to see a positive with either of those if I was pregnant?
Thanks

I'm 13dpo today, 2days late, feeling funny and no sign of AF but a very negative FRER this morning Sad

Ahh fingers crossed for you charley, just want to know either way! Waiting is awful isn't it

Yeh it's awful! Although if you've been pregnant before and know your signs then that's a good sign! I'd give it another few days and then try a FRER. When's your period due?

ricepolo · 12/01/2017 14:48

8dpo is the absolutely earliest, realistically, since the egg has to he fertilised, travel to the uterus, implant and start producing hcg. I believe it then takes at least 48hrs for there so be enough hcg to show up on a test.

But please try not to test until you've missed a period. You'll stress yourself out either way: if it's positive you'll worry about whether it'll stick (many unfortunately don't), and if it's negative you'll drive yourself mad peeing on sticks. If you can possibly wait, do. Getting a nice, strong line with good odds is a happy place to be in.

Period due 17th/18th, so will try and hold off for a couple more days!

Of your HCG is high enough to cause symptoms then it is high enough to get a positive test. If you've no positive you are just experiencing symptoms of progesterone. Your"symptoms" are what I get every tww.

AGBforever · 12/01/2017 22:11

I got a BFN on the first day of my missed period and only got the BFP 5 days later...my only 'symptom' at that point was not fancying a glass of wine!

AngharadTheSplendid · 13/01/2017 00:13

I got both my 'bfp's' at 8dpo, but there was nothing B or F about either of them at that stage, it was the faintest, most vanishingly light line (I used ICs). I could still tell though! By 10dpo it was an obvious line.

Writerwannabe83 · 13/01/2017 08:51

I got faint lines at 11dpo and all tests prior to that had been completely negative. I then tested 48 hours later at 13dpo and got very strong lines.

Metalhead · 13/01/2017 12:53

Lots of people on here get faint positives at 10dpo, not many before that from what I've seen.

A very wise woman once wrote - "Remember ladies that the percentages of those who get their BFPs on set dpo are as follows:
10dpo=35%/11dpo=51%/12dpo=62%/13dpo=68%/14dpo=74%/15dpo=80%/16dpo=88%/17dpo=92% and there are some who have not got their BFP until 21dpo!!"

I got my BFP at 9dpo but it was twins! 10 days old now Smile

Sarsarj · 13/01/2017 19:22

I done test but not sure if its me see thingd the test stick coloured does this look postive

willitbe · 14/01/2017 20:09

Sararj - Sorry the test picture suggests the test is flooded (eg dipped for too long), so not clear. You need to repeat, preferably using a different type of test. Hope it is positive for you.
