Who is the father

Sorry if this is wrong thread but it is about when I conceiv

I am 15/16weeks pregnant and I am unsure who the father is. I am pretty certain it is my partners but the uncertainty is making me crazy.

I know I am stupid but I did try and take precautions. On 22nd August 2016 I had sex with my ex. The condom split so the next day I had the morning after pill.

I then had sex again with the same guy 27/28th August. But he did not come inside me, withdrew ages before he was about to ejaculate. (I know this isn't always reliable).

I got a bleed on 21st September. Which seemed like a normal period to me.

I then seen my ex again before moving away on 29th September. We didn't have sex but he received oral.

On 3rd (not sure if my partner ejaculated inside me) 5th and 7th of October I had sex with my partner. I was monitoring ovulation with opk. I got a positive test on the 7th October. when I found out I was pregnant, I was certain it was my partners based on my ovulation and the times we had sex that week but at my 12 week scan I measured 4 days over, which would mean I conceived on the 3rd (even though my opk didn't test positive until the 7th). This has completely thrown me.

Anyway, is there anyway this baby could be my ex's? I am seriously considering a termination if it could be his but just wanted to see what your thoughts were.

I don't see why you would question in this situation if as you say that you did not have sex on the 29th Sept! You cannot get pregnant from just giving him oral, unless there was more to it than that and there is any way his sperm could have become close to your vagina.

Since the previous time you say you had sex with your ex was on the 28th August, then you would definitely measure 4 weeks ahead rather than 4 days.

So if you are completely honest about the 29th Sept with your ex, then he can't possibly be the father. If there is any way that his sperm could have come near your vagina on that day then it would be impossible to say who the father is without genetic testing post-birth.

Personally I don't trust opk's I have tracked my cycles closely in the past and took part in a fertility study, which showed that my body clearly metabolises lh into my urine later, that I have normally ovulated on the day or the day before my opk turns positive. I would ignore the ovulation tests, and rely on the 12 week scan, which in itself is +/- 3 days accurate!!!!!!! So according to the scan your conception date is between 1st Oct to 5th Oct!!!!!! Not that it makes much difference with due date as by then the norm is + or - 2 weeks.....

WillItbe - thanks for your response. I think the whole situation is driving me demented. Then with the extra days on scan has just got me over thinking things.

I have certainly learnt my lesson.

Definitely only oral on 29th Sept.

Very interesting to hear your experience on opk though. Just ways assume these things work lol.
