Unsure about Pregnancy Test Result...

Hi, I would really appreciate some advice or help with this problem. I am ttc first baby after miscarriage in September. Cycles have been all over the place since D&C so not sure when I would have ovulated. This is first cycle that has lasted past 20 days and now on cycle day 23.
I have felt pregnant for past week but I could just be over thinking things. stupidly took first response pt today on cycle day 23 and at first was negative. Took the test apart, still nothing. Then few hours later lifted little strip out of the bin and there was a very very faint pink line. I'm wondering if anyone else has had experience with FR evap lines. Are they a thing? Does opening test effect the result?
Could this be bfp or just evap line? Don't want to get my hopes up but would just mean so much to me if this were a baby.

Hi Sarah.. Sounds very confusing to me too 🤔 Have you been using OPK? If so do you know when you ovulated?

I got my BFP just after Xmas after coming off my pill in December so I was really unsure when to test! I did at test a what I thought was 10dpo and didn't get a line, or so I thought! I went back about 20mins later and there was the faintest line ever. I then waited another day and did a clear blue and it came back with1-2 weeks pregnant so you still have a chance X

Hi Sarah, did a FRER test and it was blank so I threw it away. Went back and checked it in the bin later and a very faint pink line was there. Googled it and apparently an evap line is very common with the blue ones (they look grey though) but less so with pink dyes. I tested the next day and the next and those times the line appeared within the time but still very faint. Clearblue digital confirmed it. Test again tomorrow? Good luck!

Thanks for getting back to me! I haven't been using opk's. I was on waiting list for ovulation induction when I got pregnant first time and fertility doctor told me to not bother because my ovulation times where most likely all over the place. I was stressing too much over it. Since we lost that baby Husband and I have just been dtd as much as we can the past few months in the hope of it happening.

I have been using ovia fertility app to monitor cycles and symptoms and they reckon I am about 6 to 8 days past ovulation but knowing me this could be completely wrong. I will leave it a couple of days and test again maybe. X

I've had a pink line on FRER hours after breaking apart, but was false positive. Take another in the morning.

I wouldn't trust the result of the test that long after you're supposed to read it, and with it having been taken apart. It's really early to be testing though, give it a few days and try again. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

Amz what date did you come off your pill? And we're you DTD a lot? I find it really interesting as I am just off pill!

OP why don't you do another test?

Sshsecretenclosed I came off the pill on the 1st December and got my BFP on the 27th 😀 Shocked was an understatement

I did a few OPK tests and I never really got a positive on it to be honest.. I think I ovulated somewhere near the 16th tho as I got my darker line then :) we only DTD 3 times leading up to that and none after as Oh got man flu.. How's your TTC journey going? X

Amz it just inspires me. I'm such an instant person who worries about everything! I worry my fertility won't come back, that I won't ovulate blah blah blah. I've been off the pill for 9 days now. Had a withdrawal bleed. DTD a couple of times so far. I'm just hoping that my body kick starts. I can't believe your story! When does it date you as conceiving then? Around the 16th?!

I'm glad it's given you hope Sshsecretenclosed I was the same as you really worried about conceiving! But we have a thread going on the pregnancy part on here and on average out of 40 ladies it only took 2 cycles for us all to conceive! So try and think positive 😄

Yeah around the 16th as I didn't have a bleed so can't really tell 100% but I sort of know My ovulation day so just going to run with that haha X

I tested 3 days before my period was due and no line until 20 mins after the read time tested next day and same tested day after period due same two days later positive straight away. I knew I was pregnant but obviously wasn't producing enough hormone so early on. I'd wait a couple of days and test again. Good luck.

I think it's a bit insensitive to come on someone else's thread and discuss how easily you got pregnant when OP has clearly not shared that experience...

OP I don't think I'd trust it, sorry! It sounds like it would be very early to pick up a pregnancy yet anyway, definitely try and give it a few more days and test again. Good luck Flowers

Piehunter- I see where you're coming from but I was just trying to help everyone out and give them some hope! It wasn't coming from a bad place!!

Thank you everyone in similar circumstances for letting me know your outcomes. It's given me some hope. Think I will wait a few days before testing again. Won't be able to get near a shop today anyway, probably for the best. It's crazy how much of our hope depends on peeing on a stick.

I know you didn't mean badly but I just wanted to agree with piehunter that this wasn't very sensitive. Reading this - But we have a thread going on the pregnancy part on here and on average out of 40 ladies it only took 2 cycles for us all to conceive! So try and think positive 😄 - felt like a kick in the teeth to me, and I'm only on cycle 5. There are lots of women on here who have been trying much longer and been through terrible experiences. Again, I know you meant no harm, but I can't imagine what good you think will come of telling someone to get their hopes up that they'll conceive in two months or less?

LisaSimpsonsbff- like I said before I was just trying to be positive and give some stats on TTC!! In life you can't please everyone and was just giving my advice and letting OP not to give up hope.

I understand people have been TTC for a long time and I know it must be such a tough thing to go through.

I was trying to conceive before and had to stop as my OH nearly died in a bike accident.. We were trying for a while before and reading positive stories really help me!!! So like I said before it was coming from a good place
