I've done some reading about body temperature and it's tie with ovulation etc

My question is.. I normally sit at 36° or there about. The past three days have dropped to 35.4, 35.7 and 35.1 (today) Would this indicate ovulation?

I'm not long off birth control so don't expect to have my cycle and ovulation set up again but have read a low temperature can indicate forth coming ovulation?

No. First of all, you need a two decimal place thermometer (like this. A one decimal place one doesn't show the temp difference at ovulation.

And second, it's a rise in temp, around mid way through your cycle, for a consistent 3 days, which shows you have ovulated (at the temp shift).

It's only the pattern over time that will tell you anything. Temping is useful to confirm that you did ovulate, but won't really help you predict when it's about to happen. Not everyone gets an ovulation dip, but you should see a sustained rise of about half a degree.

OPKs and monitoring your cm are the best ways to predict ovulation.

CM stands for cervical mucus.
As pp have said, a temperature rise that lasts for at least 3 days and where the temperatures are higher than any recorded in the 6 days prior to the rise, indicates that you probably ovulated the day before the first higher temperature.
