Clotty AF 10 days ago and now a faint BFP - help!

Well, just when you think your body can't get ANY weirder it does.

I'm on CD10 today and have had a lovely Christmas after a horrendous, clotty filled AF for 2 days (TMI). Have had really dark brown discharge for a few days which I have been ignoring as assumed it was mucked up period/cycle after my chemical last month. Boobs are fine, not feeling in any way horrible aside from some twinges which feel like i'm ovulating on either side (which i'm not due to do for at least another 8 days). When i mentioned the discharge my mum said, 'do a test to check' which of course, I scoffed at. Because I had AF. And, well, i'm not mad.

So OF COURSE i did a test because, you know, mums are often onto something. This came up after 1 minute. WTF.

Anyone else had a 2-3 day clotty period and NOT had this turn into a MC, EP or some other burning fireball of a disaster please??

I'm assuming it's on its way out frankly and am waiting to speak to the GP this afternoon but honestly....argh. I'm not even excited. Just annoyed and confused.

Some people do bleed early in pregnancy and it could have been implantation bleeding. I'd assume you're pregnant for now but wait a few more days and see if you get a stronger line on a test with FMU.

If it's still a faint line then you might be better off going to your local EPU for a scan to see if you've had an early miscarriage and might need some medical intervention. FX it's a sticky bean!

I tell you what, that was quite some implantation if it was!! It was full on 2 days of bleeding and clots. Did another test this avo and was also positive. Dr has been fab - she has said to test again in 2 days and if i'm still coming up positive they'll get me in for a scan. So strange. Has anyone else every had this?

Are you sure you lost everything during your chemical pregnancy? And you tested negative after? I really hope it's a BFP but could this be left over from then?

No we tested negative. It's a mystery Charlie Brown. We'll see if it sticks! Thank you.

Hi - thanks so much for the help everyone. Well, it looked like we had a chemical last month and that was the tail end of it. Very odd. So that made a MC and a chemical in 2 months! We had a HycoSy two days ago and we're just coming up to O now so we'll see if 3rd times a charm. It seemed to take the HCG ages to come out of my system this time though which is odd as we were def testing negative after the first miscarriage just a few days into the bleed (verified by the GP) - this one took a good 12 days to be completely negative. Hopefully this has helped anyone looking and you're welcome to ask questions if this is an old thread!
