This is my 2nd month taking clomid (50mg). Just had monitoring cycle (CD10) and I have 1 follicle of 26mm and 2 smaller follicles of 15mm. Has anyone had a follicle of 26mm and got pregnant? Just seems too big to me so am not hopeful.

I wasn't tracked on my second round, but have fallen pregnant. 26mm is a very good size and means you will ovulate. Fingers crossed for you x

Even if it is too big, you have 2 15mm follies on cd10, apparently they grow 2mm a day so I think you'll be ok! Xx

Hi 26 mm is a good size all the best with the clomid, only side effect I had was terrible facial hair on my chin.

I have had this on two of my rounds of clomid Thomas. First time I didn't ovulate so it was empty and the second time it was a cyst but the other two follicles did grow behind it and I did ovulate. So don't rule yourself out yet, you may find at your next scan the other two have developed.

Thanks all. Just had another scan. The monster follicle is now 28mm and another is 15mm. Sure they told me it was 15mm yesterday but I must have misheard as she said it was 13mm yesterday and 15mm today. They did bloods and will call me later to discuss when IUI should be. Just feels like they are being inconsistent as last cycle I had 2 24mm follicles on CD10 and they triggered me to stop them becoming too mature. The dr also said that it's not a good sign if the follicles grow too quickly, which mine tend to do. Not sure why they are happy to wait this cycle. Confused and stupidly emotional as convinced this also isn't going to work. Don't think I will take clomid again - better to have at least 1 normal size follicle naturally rather than one massive and one tiny. Guessing that if we do the IUI tomorrow the 15mm won't be big enough.
