Ovulated 3 days early.....

Hi all

I normally have a 29/30 day cycle and ovulate around days 19/20 - I've used opks for the past 9 months..... I tend to spot a day before my period.

This month I got a positive opk on cd17 and have spotted on cd23,24,25 but it is getting less and less. There has been no need for a pad either day.

I just a bit confused:

Will this mean my af turns up cd27? As my LP is normally around 10 days or will this have increased to 13 days of af turns up as normal?

Could this be implantation - it's about 6 days after a positive opk and was till quite a few days before af is due?

It's so frustrating, I'm trying not to get my hopes up.

Any advice/support will be grateful received.

So, are you cycle day 25 now? It's not too early to test, using an early response.

Your LP is on the shorter side - is this something you have looked in to?

I have spoken to my doc about my LP and I didn't realise have a lot of faith he really gave me good advice so not sure were else to try!

Yes I'm on day 25 of a normally 30 day cycle but don't know if that will now be 27 days following early ovulation?

I suppose you'll know in a few days!

I find charting/temping really helps and I use the Kindara app. And reading this book is great to help you understand.

But in the meantime, you could also try a hpt (home pregnancy test) which could give a reliable result at this stage given you're a day or two before your period. Fingers x for you!

Thanks Newtoday! I don't have any pregnancy tests in the house as I'm superstitious that if I don't have them here then I might need one....

I thought I knew my cycle inside out as it's been the same for such a long time then this month has put a spanner in the works! It's just made me so confused.

I'll just stick it out for a few more days and see what happens. I guess af will show up at some point.
