11dpoStar
Sore boobs still, temp 36.73 this morning but was an hour later than usual. So a bit of a dip from 36.80. But it's still high eh?

DuRezidal · 18/12/2016 08:34

Does anyone else use the CBFM?

I used it last time I conceived and just started this cycle

Tee4me · 18/12/2016 08:58

Definitely still high Footy! Wahoo! Mine has dipped to coverline, hoping a one-off anomaly, and my body didn't just pretend to ovulate!
Mimi actually I carried on with the aspirin after bfp, I wouldn't have dared drop it at that stage! I've been on it permanently for the last few months. Kiki my sister first introduced me to it, as she had suffered x4 consecutive miscarriages. She was recommended a low-dose aspirin (75mg only!), and conceived my niece 5 weeks later. I've read up quite a bit and the evidence is probably more anecdotal; if you read through the threads etc, lots of women attributing successful pregnancies after loss to it. It could all of corse be placebo, but when you google you will find some credible sites saying positive things. From what I can gather, at worst it doesn't help your chances, so in my mind I'm thinking, it might help but won't hurt.
Welcome Durezidal! No I haven't used CBFM. The cheapies from Amazon do the trick for me x

Londonjam · 18/12/2016 10:46

Thanks nim how are you doing? I hope you are feeling better

Beagles the floor might be your friend over Christmas lol Xmas Smile luckily we live round the corner from my mum and dad so we can come back home to DTD - as long as we're not too full! Xmas Confused

Ahh mimi I hope you feel better and your LO enjoys her birthday. I don't know what day I am but I'm pre ovulation - will start OPK s today I think. Egg is due Friday / Saturday but I am hoping it will be late. DH is away Wednesday to Saturday Xmas Sad

Kiki fx AF stays away. Hope you have a lovely Christmas holiday!

Welcome durezidal

Footy you are definitely still nice and toasty I am keeping fx for you. Yes fw is here, will start DTD later today and an OPK. We've got to work it around DH trip this time, which is frustrating

Hope everyone enjoyed the strictly final last night! I thought it was wonderful Xmas Smile

Footy1 · 18/12/2016 14:40

Yes I watched it Jam! Didn't expect them to win, but they did very well.

At the back of my mind I worry that the temps have still got time to drop. If it wasn't for the boobs hurting I don't feel any different. Keep swaying from positivity to negativity Xmas Hmm

DuRezidal · 18/12/2016 19:04

I have never temped... what is the general rules of it?

Footy1 · 18/12/2016 21:38

Hi durezidal
Temps are much lower before ovulation, then they spike high when ovulation has happened. You then should get at least 3 high temps around the spike which confirms ovulation. Gradually the temps will fall as progesterone falls just as AF arrives. So general rule is if pregnant the temps stay elevated as the progesterone remains.

MotherOfBeagles · 18/12/2016 21:56

mimi have you tried sleeping propped up? When I was ill that was the only way I could sleep. Made like a nest out of sofa cushions and pillows. Also I wish someone else would organise his birthday it's a bloody nightmare. But at least if the day goes wrong I've made up for it by totally going overboard on his gifts Blush

Have a great holiday kiki hope AF stays away!

Hi durez! I've not used the cbfm but the reviews look amazing! Temping really helps me figure out what's going on. But the hardest bit is getting it the same time every day with no moving or talking before! I have to set an alarm half an hour before my normal alarm and take it then. Luckily I got a thermometer which holds the read out until next time you take your temp!

Ah footy you really are in my neck of the woods, I'm based round preston! Also yes Christmas really does take a toll on your back lol. But I hope yours is for another reason!what dpo are you on now?

tee that sounds interesting have to see how I get on but will keep that in mind. How you doing at the minute?

jam we also have the option of the camper van on my mums drive lol. I think she's as keen on my getting a bfp as I am! I'm the eldest and no other grandchildren. But her youngest sister has two... so my broody mum is very broody at the minute lol. Yes that is the problem with dtd over Christmas! Can you try and get a morning or afternoon before drink and food take over?

Think AF is tailing off now but dh is sick grrrr firstly no excuses man and secondly if he gets me ill I'm going to kill him lol.

DuRezidal · 18/12/2016 23:33

I'm also not too far from Preston!

So what would a regular month of temps be? I know horse and dogs normal temps but no idea when it comes to myself GrinGrinGrin

Footy1 · 19/12/2016 07:11

Everyone's temps will be slightly dfferent but generally before ovulation is about 36.0 to 36.40. ovulation will usually spike temp to 36.50 plus and stay elevated until your body starts preparing for AF and then starts to drop drastically to about a pre ovulation temp (under 36.40). When I get AF my lowest is about 36.20, but I know others who get a lower temp.

I'm 12dpo Starand my temp is 36.71 so that's why I getting a little bit hopeful as it would usually start dropping around 9/10dpo in previous cycles. But some peoples temp drop day before or day of AF. So I guess there's still time for it to. I usually have a 14 day LP so a few days to wait.

Footy1 · 19/12/2016 07:18

No hope of dtd when we're back up north next week as DH says no way can he do that at his mums!?!? Sad so need to think up a plan. (Secretly hoping I won't have to anyway)

You might have to play nurse beaglesWinktravelling back this evening down south for a week..then back up 27th.

Tee4me · 19/12/2016 07:27

Great it's still up Footy!
My temps used to be a similar range, but my whole cycle has shifted down for the last few months. At the moment pre-ov is around 35.90-36.10 and post-ov 36.20-36.40. I never get anywhere near the 36.70's anymore!! Yesterday I had a dip in the morning down to 36.10. Thought it was an anomaly, but did some random testing in the day and was down to 35.64 at one point, a record low!! It's gone back up today thank God, from research I'm wondering if it was an estrogen surge, as I woke up with 2 massive spots on my chin yesterday too!!
Basically DuRez us tempers will start to fret if our temperatures dip in the LP (unless it happens 7-10dpo, as that could be implantation). We want temps to stay elevated as that could indicate a pregnancy. I generally stop once I've established ovulation has happened (sustained temp rise for several days), because then I can relax DTD! Also, I can't bare to see my temperature dropping as I approach AF, it's not a good start to my day!!

MotherOfBeagles · 19/12/2016 08:14

This was one of the sites I used to help me get started durez. It can be helpful but some people do find it stressful so find what's right for you =]
http://www.fertilityplus.com/faq/bbt/bbtfaq.html

That's still looking good footy. Maybe you need to invest in some Christmas lingerie just in case then =P lol.

Ugh tee I'm breaking out like a teenager. I hate it! I usually have very clear skin so it's really obvious =[

My temps are really low so far this cycle, averaging about 36.05 so god knows what my cover line is going to be.

OP posts:
DuRezidal · 19/12/2016 08:18

Wow that looks pretty dedicated! I don't think it would work for me as I am up at completely different times at the moment.

It looks as though some of you are having very positive symptoms!

Londonjam · 19/12/2016 11:52

Aw bless your mum beagles. Yes we will definitely DTD before the big lunch!

To be honest I think we are out this cycle before we even get started Xmas Sad egg is due Friday and DH is away Wednesday to Saturday. Not much I can do with that.

With all this temping talk I might give it a go next year. Might as well for nothing!

Footy1 · 19/12/2016 15:59

Hi everyone, more spotting just now.. But more than before browny/red so think it's the start of AF. Cramps started this afternoon.. Sad cheesed off! And to top off my day I just had to get my little one from school who was just sick.
Thing that is bugging me the most is that my temp was high this morning - never started AF at that temp?! Would usually get cramps for a couple of days before? Mind games all this is. Grrr

I know it might stop, but my last bit of hope I think has gone.

DuRezidal · 19/12/2016 16:13

Footy, I am not 100% sure about the temps but I would say if it was still high this morning then there is still hope from what I have learned on here.

MotherOfBeagles · 19/12/2016 18:29

footy you wouldnt have a high temp if AF was starting. Wait and see what happens tomorrow but id say you arent out yet!

jam she makes me laugh, she fell so easily SO many times that she is getting as stressed as i am each month, think she really is worried for me which bizarrely makes me feel a bit calmer. I like temping tbh it makes me feel like i can do something every day not just be at the mercy of whatever is going on - total rubbish obviously but it gets me through the day lol.

Well my pre-seed arrived today, tbh im totally freaked out by it but really want to try everything i physically can. Also been taking my EPO so well shall see! AF finished today, just last few bits of spotting.

Hows everyone else doing?

OP posts:
Footy1 · 19/12/2016 19:44

Beagles glad you got some preseed. You don't have to use the applicator but it helps to get it high near your cervix when u need it.
Remember.. Just a small amount!Grin

Feeling not the best tbh.. Bloated and cramps kicked in. Reckon AF will be in full flow tomorrow. It's still browny cm but more than before. Not enough for a tampon. I've never spotted like this before. It's been on and off since 4dpo!?

At least I know I did ovulate! Not even sure the clomid helped so debating what to do next cycle. Take it or ditch it?!

MotherOfBeagles · 19/12/2016 19:54

Not a clue about clomid sorry footy but you really have had a very odd cycle! if your temps are still high though you wouldnt usually have started AF yet? From what ive read spotting isnt that unheard of in early pregnancy? also if the witch does turn up, yes like you said you know you did!

I know ill suck it up (giggles) and use the applicator, if it works i wont care that it freaked me out lol. Its not so much putting it "in" there as i use a mooncup and check my cervix. Its more the thought of "sperm food" lol and being prepared, usually much more spontaneous. Just realised though its my dh's 30th a week before my next test date and that will be drinking from 11am until the early hours the next day. God knows how im going to navigate that!

OP posts:
Londonjam · 19/12/2016 20:15

Really hope it's not af footy x if it is I would be tempted to try clomid again if you can face it - it has helped you ovulate so presumably it will again.

Beagles preseed is great! I find you don't need too much.

DuRezidal · 19/12/2016 20:25

Has anyone cut out alcohol while TTC?

I didn't last time, in fact I was absolutely smashed in London for a friend's hen do the day before I got my BFP ConfusedConfusedConfused

But I am considering it this time due to being 33 and less fertile than I was last time.

Footy1 · 19/12/2016 20:26

Ha ha yes beagles u need to put it up about 30 mins before otherwise it'll fall back down with the sperm lol

Had a bit of a cry this eve, been a long day! just feel exhausted by all of it. Sitting trying to work out next f/w which it will b impossible to dtd. So fed up trying to fit it in and its not even working.
I can't lie, but I did get my hopes up and feel it's all come crashing down, and not helping my DH is so insensitive. I told him Period might arrive shortly and he offered me a cup of tea and asked what I wanted to watch on tv. Thanks v much.Sad I'll see what temp does in morning but pretty certain it's AF on route. I really wanted a special BFP Christmas present. Sorry I'm a bit down..

Jam like you I've already given up as can't see I'm going to get the swimmers up there in time with being at dh's mums. Really don't want to go now.

MotherOfBeagles · 19/12/2016 20:27

Thanks Jam, i jumped DH last night and since hes sick best give him a night off lol. But i might try it tomorrow. How you doing at the minute? Where you up to? (i lose track lol).

DuRez i havent cut it out but have drastically cut down, might have a couple before ovulation if i feel like it and the situation calls for it but really trying to avoid after ovulation.

OP posts:
MotherOfBeagles · 19/12/2016 20:30

sorry crossed post footy! Sorry youre feeling down, those nights are really shitty, give yourself a bit of time to feel crap but then try and pick yourself back up. Doesnt do too good to wallow too much. Also stop worrying about next fertile window, you know as well as the rest of us the bugger never turns up when you want it to but you make it work. Also ignore your DH lol im sure he is just trying to find a way to make you feel better and widely missing the mark as they do. My step dad making my mum a brew and asking what to put on TV would be equivalent to declaring his undying love!
