You really never know beagles don't write yourself out just yet

I'm doing fine thanks. Am enjoying a slightly more relaxed approach, DTD EOD . Was planning to not OPK for the first time in a year ! But I think I might do one of two ... just want to make sure timings are okay

Kiki18 · 15/02/2017 19:23

Hey all,

Footy- so pleased for you that dh is finally admitting how awful he has been and making an effort hope things continue to get better for you! Stick with the metformin it does take a couple of weeks but your queasyness should settle as you get used to them (can't remember if I said but it did help me lose some weight as it speeds up your metabolism).

Nim - fingers tightly crossed for you for Friday hope all goes well for you xx

Beagles - hoping this is all signs of your bfp on its way!

I can't remember who asked (sorry have been keeping up with most of you all) but going by last period date should be 8 weeks today but the early scan suggests I might be only 7 today - if all still OK at scan next week we will hopefully know how far along we are. Not told anyone yet except my boss for fear of a repeat of last time.

MotherOfBeagles · 15/02/2017 19:41

Mmm up to you london just make sure you're doing it for you and not because of the ttc demon has got in your head lol. The little demon is messing with my head right now so I get it.

kiki hope everything goes well at your next scan. How you feeling? Any nasty symptoms?

Tee4me · 15/02/2017 19:41

Beagles yes I have 1 DS (4 yrs old). He's so ready to be a big brother! Really hope this isn't AF but surging progesterone instead for you!!
Nim sorry you're feeling fragile. Hope the scan hurries round so you can have some peace of mind. Same for you Kiki, I can well imagine how desperately you will want to hear that all is well.
Jam eod is definitely the way to go, I felt a lot better and less pressure with that approach this month. I don't think doing the odd opk will add any stress! For me it gave me peace of mind to know we're on track.
Footy I think you asked me before but can't remember if I answered; no I'm not temping this month. Quite nice to not have that immediate thought when I first wake up. The opks are good enough for me I think x

Kiki18 · 15/02/2017 19:50

Beagles - just the usual pregnancy symptoms which I'm really glad of as taking as reassurance that all is well. Feeling sick pretty much most of the time except when I'm eating, still very sore boobs (which have grown yay) and a bit of insomnia probably aided by the fact I need to pee every few hours! Thank you for the well wishes (and you tee) a week today we will hopefully be reassured x

MotherOfBeagles · 15/02/2017 20:11

Ah tee that's sweet I remember being the eldest and loving my little bros. pity they weren't as nice to me lol.

kiki feeling sick is not nice. But glad you're feeling ok about it all! True about taking comfort in the symptoms being a good sign.

Beagles my early scan showed an empty sack measuring 5 weeks 4 days. No yolk sack, no embryo. I thought I was nearly 7 weeks (there should have been an embryo with a heartbeat by 7 weeks). Even if 5 weeks 4 days at the size the sack was there should have at least been a yolk sack present so it's likely to be a blighted ovum or anembryonic pregnancy. The sack still pumps out all the hormones so I feel pregnant, with nausea, sore boob's and tiredness.

They have to RE_scan me in case my dates are wrong however for that date to be accurate I would've got my bfp at 3 dpo (I.e not possible). Very rarely pregnancies do develop a bit slower than usual so it's not beyond the realms of possibility it could be ok,( hence the repeat scan) just very very unlikely.

So on Friday after my scan I expect to be told that I have had another miscarriage and will have to decide what to do. I'm thinking about medical management to bring on the miscarriage as if I wait for it to happen naturally it could take weeks and weeks. I don't want surgery again so soon as I'm worried about scarring. (Ashermanns syndrome).

I hope you are not out Beagles and AF stays away. I don't mind you asking for clarification, it's hard to keep track, and you haven't put your foot in it!

Nimisha · 15/02/2017 21:46

Kiki, my nausea is hanging around, boob's bigger (yey) and exhausted today. Hope you are holding up with the waiting, it's agony isn't it!

Thanks Tee, not long now. Roll on Friday.

Glad you feel more relaxed Jam, when I had a month off opk, I cracked and did a couple too!

Footy1 · 15/02/2017 22:02

Jam where do u get the soft cups from? I couldn't find them.

Thinking of you for fri nim , your Dh will have to drink your wine x

MotherOfBeagles · 15/02/2017 22:07

Thank you for explaining nim. That's totally new to me. This ttc journey really is a shit storm sometimes, never seems to let up or at least that's what it feels like. I'm really sorry things are tough for you and I really hope for you that Friday is actually a good day not a bad one! Sending lots of positive thoughts to help you get through whatever's coming your way and if all else fails CakeWineFlowers usually put a smile on a face. Even if only for a minute! Also if you ever need some boobs you can borrow mine. The buggers get bigger every month I swear. Like being a teenager again!

footy I got mine from Amazon after doing a bit of research into brand and size! I got a diva cup and there is a size for those who have had and another size for those who have not had vaginal births and age differences. I swear by it now!

Kiki18 · 15/02/2017 22:18

Oh nim - I really have everything crossed for you for Friday and hope that you will be OK. The waiting is horrid although my story is different to yours and I feel your wait must be much harder as my early scan showed a yolk sack and we were told everything looked good but they couldn't promise, hopefully we were too early - totally in the realms of possibility. Blighted ovum etc was never mentioned just the usual risks of miscarriage so I feel I may just be panicking as from last time we were expecting to see an embryo and heartbeat. I'm sorry too that it's such a tough journey for you xx

MotherOfBeagles · 16/02/2017 11:05

So my temp stayed high this morning and thought meh why not. Very clear frer and faint boots cheapie both positive. I'm shaking like crazy. 9dpo. Is this too soon? Does this mean it's not going to stick? Argh. Wtaf. Gone straight from grinning like a mad woman to terrified!

Yay beagles!! A line is a line as I have learnt (I don't think it is too early and I don't think how early you find out makes any difference to whether the little bean sticks or not!)
Congrats!!! How exciting!! I think mad woman to terrified is normal too xx

Londonjam · 16/02/2017 11:18

Oh wow! Congratulations beagles! I did have a bit of a feeling about you this month. Have you told your DH?

Tee4me · 16/02/2017 11:27

Amazing Beagles!!!!! I was feeling good for you when you mentioned the nose bleed!! How exciting!!!! x

MotherOfBeagles · 16/02/2017 11:44

I've had another one today tee! And it's like my body's gone oh ok. Now you must have pain. My lower back is killing me lol.

Thanks everyone really excited but terrified at the same time. I haven't told my dh yet. Just my best mate. She and my mum have been insisting it'll be Feb I get pregnant because my best mate wants a Halloween baby and my mum wants a winter baby so she can carry on crocheting blankets! They jinxed me!

Ugh. God. Scared is my biggest thing atm. Although I'm thinking I might be more dpo because I got positive opks cd20-21 then straight blank on cd22 but carried on taking epo until cd24 that's when my ovulation was caught on temps. But according to everything I've read epo can keep your temps low so maybe I ovulated earlier?

Anyway. Distract me! How's you guys today?!

OP posts:
Londonjam · 16/02/2017 12:01

I think my DH would kill me if I told someone else before him! That's sweet your best mate and mum are so excited. Did you use preseed and softcups as usual beagles?

Not much news from me I'm afraid!

MotherOfBeagles · 16/02/2017 12:12

I've only told my best mate. I knew she'd be excited for me and I needed someone on a phone squeeling to calm my fear down a bit lol. My mum will be calm and practical but excited. Save that for a bit later lol. My dh will just be in shock lol. Last year when I got a bfp he said "well done" and nodded lol.

What cd are you on london you decided if you might do opks?

OP posts:
Londonjam · 16/02/2017 12:45

Squealing phone call absolutely needed Wink

No decision yet... I think I'll cave and do one

MotherOfBeagles · 16/02/2017 12:50

Oh just realised I missed your question. I used my diva cup each time but preseed didn't really work because I've not been able to tell when we were going to dtd due to both being knackered lol.

Do you have a regular ovulation cycle day? Mines all over the place so I usually end up doing them for about two weeks !

OP posts:
Kiki18 · 16/02/2017 13:51

Beagles - so excited for you, enjoy it! All being well with us you should be due just a few weeks after us! I'm still going between scared and excited but trying to just stay calm and relaxed.

I'm starting to get uncomfortable especially in the mornings - I have an hour's drive to work and notice I feel very achy in my lower abdomen along the way and sitting for the first hour or so at work. For any of you with children already is this normal?

When is everyone else due to test?

Nimisha · 16/02/2017 14:48

Beagles, Congratulations!!! A line is a line!

Kiki, I have been having loads of cramps/aches in my lower abdo, its normal as everything starts to change and stretch. Only worry if there is bleeding as well. Hopefully its a good sign. I have also been having tightenings (not painful) lower down which I had all the way through my previous pregnancies but not so early. Especially when I have a full bladder. I'm pretty skinny (I actually weigh less now than pre baby number 1) so I think I am just more aware of whats going on down there.

Nausea coming and going but eating definitely helps when I comes on, I have been nibbling ginger biscuits. Going out for tea tonight which I'm looking forward to.

MotherOfBeagles · 16/02/2017 16:05

According to my app I'm due Halloween Confused lol although I'll take a Halloween baby any day of this one stays sticky! When's your date kiki? From what I've read that sounds normal but no previous experience! Can you take a cushion with you to help with the journey?

Mmm ginger biscuits are amazing nim! Although not when you're feeling crappy. Lol. Off out anywhere special tonight?

OP posts:
Kiki18 · 16/02/2017 16:41

Thanks nim it's reassuring to hear that all sounds normal and what you've experienced - it seems like some funny old feelings sometimes! I've had no bleeding so I shall resume calmness. Hope you have a lovely dinner tonight xx

Beagles - according to the app should be due 27th September but it might get pushed back up to a week at the scan. A Halloween baby is pretty cool! A cushion is a good idea I shall try that and thanks for the reassurance I'm suck a worry wart sometimes. I'd keep stock of the ginger nuts I've been munching them too especially first thing in the morning I think because I wake hungry I feel my sickest xx

Footy1 · 16/02/2017 17:06
