Coming off the pill and TTC week one

Hi all

I am 26 and TTC #1 :) I came off the pill a week ago after being on it for around a year. I've been really impatient and have already used the ovulation sticks to see whether I am ovulating, but I'm not! I've had a tiny amount of CM with blood in it but haven't had anything else yet! When I got my implant taken out I started my period a couple of days later so I'm wondering why it's taken this long for something to show up. Just wondering if anyone has had the same experience as me and would like to get everyone's advice on what they think xx

Took four weeks for a withdrawal bleed for me and nearly a year for my cycles to return to some kind of normality. You need to become best friends with patience. Ditch the tests and just dtd regularly.

Thanks for the massage Delilah.. Yes my OH keeps saying the same thing I need to relax. I'm just worried as I've read some bad things about people coming off the pill, like you said a year or so. I really wish I came off sooner now :( We are still DTD every other day so maybe I'll be lucky and it should be back to normal soon.

You always hear the handful of bad stories but not the millions of good. Saying that, doctors dish out hormonal contraception without saying what we are likely to go through coming off it and TTC. If you're not having regular periods after six months, and you're not pregnant, then consider ovulation testing.

That is so true delilah wish they had told me more! And to be honest I should of done my own research on it!! How's it going for you this cycle? X

50 days for me. And some girls in the TTC pill thread are much longer. I was on the pill for 13 years though so you might not be so unlucky. But really. Don't bother tracking anything until after that first AF. There's really no point. Just lots of DTD just in case you're a lucky so and so.

Hi Mouse, I was talking to you on the TTC thread! yes I'm going to just try and DTD every other day for now! Never know I might of already ovulated as I never checked the first few days I came off the pill
