hey everyone

this is my 10th cycle trying for #1. Its getting so disheartening

I'm 10dpo and just had a negative test. This time I really believed it was positive as I've had loads of symptoms I've never had before such as achy boobs, feeling like I'm gonna throw up, extreme tiredness. I was going to wait until 12dpo but I caved.
I was just wondering if there would still be a possibility of a bfp. Has anyone here had a bfn and then a bfp just a couple days later? I can't see how it will change in just two days, if I am pregnant.
My cycles are soooo irregular, usually between 21-30 days but my last was 65 days (unbearable). But I chart so know exactly when I ovulated.

thank you

From what I've read 10po is too early to test reliably. A few days can make a big difference to a result. So yes, if there's no af then a bfp is possible.

Alexthekid · 07/12/2016 05:39

I had a negative the day before my period was due (don't know what this is in terms of dpo sorry) then a positive a few days later.
It is quite usual to get a neg if you test too early, and I think 10 dpo is too early. Try again in a week!

I had a negative First Response, then a BFP the following day.

I've had five pregnancies and with each I only got a positive result on the day my period was due, even the early testing ones showed negative until then.

10dpo is really early and it can make a huge difference. Try to hold off until 14/15 dpo.

The tests only detect hcg once it reaches a certain level so if you're not there yet it won't show up. Irregular cycles make it even harder to check but most women have a predictable gap between ovulation and period. If you've been tracking ovulation this is worth checking back on.

Still plenty of chance, according to this!

Ah thank you for giving me hope everyone I was so upset last night when I tested! I'm starting to think maybe I'm making up symptoms but I'll keep my fingers X'd and test in a couple more days :)

You said you tested at night? Don't!! Test with FMU and you might get more joy. Fx for you!!! X

Do you have an update cmxx? I'm just n th exact same situation and would love to know how it worked out for you. X

Elllicam · 12/12/2016 09:08

10 dpo is still really early. With my last pregnancy I got two bfns and it was only 3 days after my missed period I got a positive with first response. Good luck OP.

walsh86 · 12/12/2016 10:33

CMXX have you done another test?

haveacupoftea · 12/12/2016 14:00

It is very possibly you may still get a bfp, but please remember not to go on symptoms as those symptoms would not kick in until the pregnancy is established ie after 6 weeks or after.

Fieldsandgrasses · 13/12/2016 06:15

How did you get on?

Obsessedalready · 13/12/2016 06:26

I didn't get my bfp until 14dpo with fmu and it was faint. I had negative ic tests (whiter than white!) until 12/13dpo. You are not out! Fx for you!

I did have sore boobs and period cramps with no period (usually my period starts with the cramps) no nausea though!
