Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

 1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
 2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
 3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
 4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.
 5. Thou shalt not be offended by the word vagina.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also known as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a Kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit), or PIATLH (Tea light holder), PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage (Self explanatory)

ROC = Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Optional decorations include photographs of controversial political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Jizz in a bra = how we transport the jizz to the Sperm Queen

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into TTC obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband (or Cuntraband) = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

SOTM = Shagger of the Month. Awarded with varying regularity to those viroids who go above and beyond EOD shagging in pursuit of that BFP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedingering!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

Doing a Lemon = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!

Miroid - The male compadre of a viroid

Cat - Compulsory

Skittletits - Killer molten painful tits and nipples

Ghost jizz/goat jazz - When the amazing foof sucks up all the jizz - achieved when coming at the same time/nearly the same time.

Pretty sure I iced yesterday on CD 16 which is early for me (the cramps were a lovely addition to the legs being in shreds after Reading half on Sunday) but we're not going to go for it this month to avoid the risk of a Christmas baby. Thunderbirds are go next month though!

Many congratulations Chat :)

Nova There is nothing bad that can be said about a week in bed :)

TractorComesFirst · 21/03/2017 23:04

Congratulations chat!!

What have others decided about potential Christmas due dates? I would have a Due date of 18th Dec but as I was exactly a week late with DS that would be Christmas. Think we are just going to carry on JSing and see what happens! Grin

Singingforsanity · 21/03/2017 23:56

cori great the ball is now rolling! Fingers crossed it goes smoothly for you!

Christmas dates... currently twotting, think I iced on Thursday/Friday so according to BabyCenter.com baby would be due 8th December. I was a week over with DS so would probably be after that though. I have short cycles so next cycle would be approx 1st January. Still going to go for it and promise DC they will still have awesomeness on their birthday!

TriJo · 22/03/2017 07:24

I would have a due date of December 10th but with historically long cycles and the fact that DS was 8 days overdue it pushes things dangerously close. Also don't fancy doing the marathon with first trimester bleurgh!

cookielove · 22/03/2017 13:09

I don't mind having a Christmas due date, the only thing I now worry about is having a due date around Sept, as E came early and we may now have to fight to get him into the year group we want!

TriJo · 22/03/2017 13:37

We have the opposite with C - the cutoff for being considered "summer born" in our borough (with the option of delaying entry by a year) is April 1st, he was born March 28th and that means he'll have to start school at 4 years and 5 months which seems awfully early to me.

Flashinthepan · 22/03/2017 14:59

Congrats chat and exciting news cori.

I want any due date! Am in strange no af/no bfp limbo. 14 dpo! Longest cycle in a year, but started B50 this month so am thinking it's that. Bit of spotting last couple of days but still really sore boobs and nips. Help me!

kwick · 22/03/2017 15:28

flash I am keeping my 🤞🏼for you.

6 weeks on from MC and still no AF...
The timing would have been so right - September birth - I have always wanted to be preggers through summer... but it is what it is. Screw timing I just want to have a baby!

cookielove · 22/03/2017 17:13

jo E would be 4 years and 2 weeks!

Hobbit19 · 22/03/2017 21:32

My due date with Xmas pud was the 25th Dec! It was changed to the 19th after a scan and she arrived in the 27th. It added an unnecessary complication to the 'when will I go into labour' question, and I found Xmas/1st bday a little stressful this year but if we get upduffed this cycle then I will pretty much have the same edd so it hasn't been bad enough to put me off!

Flashinthepan · 22/03/2017 21:34

I was so excited when I found out I was having a Christmas baby last year. Even though it wasn't to be I would be thrilled with an Xmas baby in future!

Singingforsanity · 22/03/2017 22:10

Flash gx for you! Are you being sensible and stuff about testing or are you doing what I'd be doing testing like a serial tester?

Flashinthepan · 23/03/2017 06:34

Af is here, clawing out my womb. These are the worst period pains in I've had in ages. But 14 day lp, yay!

Singing I was testing like a crazy person. Need more willpower for next cycle.

kwick · 23/03/2017 07:09

flash Flowers & Gin

Singingforsanity · 23/03/2017 11:18

Oh Flash ☹️ But yay for fantastic luteal periods! 🙌

I'm a week into the twot and now is when I start to go all 'how many days dpo am I' even though I've already checked a million times that day. Which is crazy this month as I think we're all but out. But will be worse as I'm off this week. Need to get plans to occupy myself!

jellypi3 · 23/03/2017 17:43

sorry for the silence all! CD 18 here, still not iced and still not shagged. been mega busy and too tired, DD is playing a fun game of hourly wake ups this week. got a high on my OPK today so i'll commence shagging, but probably won't actually ovulate until cd 20 which is late for me. my LP last cycle was 7 days. It's so depressingly short. I've been taking the b6 vits religiously so fingers crossed they do something.

Flashinthepan · 23/03/2017 18:07

jelly are you just taking b6? I would try a b50 mega complex if you aren't already. Apparently the combo is better than b6 on its own. The Holland and Barrett one also has folic acid in so it's all I'm bothering to take.

cookielove · 23/03/2017 20:36

I need a hooyah!!

SofiePendragon · 23/03/2017 21:03

Hooyah cookie! What's up?

Hobbit19 · 23/03/2017 21:05

Is anyone else's ovia app on the blink? Don't want to reinstall it and lose all my info!

SofiePendragon · 23/03/2017 21:13

Pud Mine seems to be OK, but I haven't done the latest update yet - could be down to that?

cookielove · 23/03/2017 21:16

My Ovia seems OK pud although it did a really random open thing. But seemed to work!

I am symptom spotting like crazy and I am only 4dpo 🙈

Singingforsanity · 23/03/2017 22:20

Cookie, way waaaay too early! You know these symptoms are feck all to
do with it, so just ignore them all and take a break until next week when they might (gx!) be related to a mini-cookie.

NovaArt3mis · 24/03/2017 07:15

Get yo cape on jelly, hope your LP lengthens... or you get knocked up and never find out!

Hooya cookie try to forget about dpo's until next week at least.

Sorry the witch got you flash
