Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

 1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
 2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
 3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
 4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.
 5. Thou shalt not be offended by the word vagina.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also known as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a Kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit), or PIATLH (Tea light holder), PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage (Self explanatory)

ROC = Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Optional decorations include photographs of controversial political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Jizz in a bra = how we transport the jizz to the Sperm Queen

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into TTC obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband (or Cuntraband) = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

SOTM = Shagger of the Month. Awarded with varying regularity to those viroids who go above and beyond EOD shagging in pursuit of that BFP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedingering!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

Doing a Lemon = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!

Miroid - The male compadre of a viroid

Cat - Compulsory

Skittletits - Killer molten painful tits and nipples

Ghost jizz/goat jazz - When the amazing foof sucks up all the jizz - achieved when coming at the same time/nearly the same time.

Sofie I'm just a bit more private about it I suppose. I've told a couple of close friends but I hardly know this woman and I don't want her knowing I'm trying, because then she (and whoever else she tells) will be guessing about if I'm pg or not and if it takes a while or I have another loss I don't want to have to deal with more questions. I just used the old 'ah, DS might always be an only child if he doesn't start sleeping'...

jellypi3 · 01/03/2017 06:35

I'm 3dpo, af due on 6th march too.

I get people ask quite often about a second, i tend to just say 'one day'.

TriJo · 01/03/2017 09:28

I'm just waiting for my cycle to decide it wants to have some degree of normality again - still no AF after the CP on Jan 20th, have had PMS-y cramps for about 3 days now but nothing doing. I'm not counting it as outside of my normal range though until around Friday - I've had plenty of perfectly normal 5-6 week cycles in my dim and distant pre-pill past.

NovaArt3mis · 01/03/2017 18:14

I missed a bfp! Congrats nohay

Tomorrow is exactly 4 weeks since mmc. Haven't dtd yet though :/ hopefully af shows up soon and we can try again. Although I bloody begrudge it, can't be arsed with it all again.

kwick · 01/03/2017 18:56

I hear you nova but I want to make clear to the universe that I still want a baby and want to continue to try!

Exhausted after first day back...

ZylaB · 01/03/2017 19:41

Ok, I think we're going to give it a try for two or three months and hope this whole "more fertile after a mc" thing is true. Then will rethink if not upduffed.

Now I need to get a negative pregnancy test...sigh

NovaArt3mis · 01/03/2017 19:56

Exactly kwick How was work? I'm finding the distraction helpful but feel bad for DH. I spend all day being upbeat at work that I can't keep up the pretence when I get home and am a bit miserable to be around.

That's my thinking too zyla I feel like I'm in a decent frame of mind for trying again sooner rather than later. This month will be my 3rd birthday that's passed since we started ttc and it's getting me down. I'll be gutted if I'm not pg again by Aug due date Sad

jellypi3 · 02/03/2017 07:15

Massive sympathies ladies. I can't imagine the pain you have all suffered.

kwick · 02/03/2017 07:54

Nova I spent a lot of time crying at work yesterday as I spoke with colleagues that knew what had happened. I hope today is less intense.
I too want to try again asap but I am waiting to hear back on my blood tests - to see if there is a reason they can establish for the 2 MCs.
I forgot about testing out - I only have FRERs - I guess I should get some cheapy strips or OPKs.
Exhausted- did not sleep well at all.
Have my first cognitive behaviour therapy session at 8.30 by phone...

jellypi3 · 02/03/2017 09:38

4DPO today, getting a bit crampy. AF is due between 4-6 days. I forgot how much I hate the TWOT.

good luck at cbt today kwick

NovaArt3mis · 02/03/2017 16:35

Hope today went ok kwick I had a cry at work today too. Then a few hours later found out I'm being promoted to head up my department so that was nice news in amongst all the crap.

The waiting is the worst jelly do you have a short LP?

jellypi3 · 02/03/2017 18:01

Congrats on the promotion nova!!!

Yeah 8 days typically. Hoping it extends put this cycle.

kwick · 02/03/2017 18:01

nova congratulations on your promotion!!!! Excellent news Smile

CBT was via an online chat... not sure what to say....

Only cried on one person today... progress!

angelazul · 03/03/2017 10:06

Kwick , Nova, Zyla & Tri you're all in my thoughts, hope you're all taking care of yourselves. Nova congratulations on the promotion!

Just found out that my dad has Lynch Syndrome, which means he has a faulty gene that greatly increases his chances of getting certain types of cancer. There's a 50% chance that me & my sisters have the gene too. It can take a while to go through the whole screening process, & there's a very real possibility that I could be in the middle of it when we finally are due to start ICSI. Not sure if I could deal with it all at the same time. On the plus side, our bathroom is finished & it looks fab, & we head on holiday on Sunday Grin

Happy weekend vidroids

SofiePendragon · 03/03/2017 16:51

Congratulations on the promotion Nova!

angel sorry about your Dad - will he get lots of screening for the cancers he's at risk of? Will the ICSI include genetic testing for your eggs as well?

jelly hope you're feeling OK and the witch stays away

Tri I know how frustrating it is waiting for a cycle to end. Have you had any signs of ovulation yet?

Viroids I need a hooya! I'm only 4dpo and I'm symptom spotting like a mad woman! Stuffy nose, feeling tired - I'm probably just getting a cold!

kwick · 03/03/2017 18:17

sofie here you go: HOOYAH!!!

angel sorry about your news but you know knowledge is power and with that I think comes great hope Flowers

jellypi3 · 03/03/2017 18:41

Hooyah sofia waaaay to early for symptoms!

TriJo · 04/03/2017 12:34

Sofie Cramps all week, no sign of AF though. Haven't really had any ovulation symptoms apart from that.

CD43 now. I'll just be twiddling my thumbs.

Jessybear90 · 04/03/2017 16:43

Hi all!

Quite new to the forum. Been off the pill for about four weeks now after being on for 12 years. Turning 27 this month. Really tying to distract myself from letting TTC become a science experiment!

Going to just try to stick to having lots of sex and chatting on this forum.

OH is in the military so I'm praying for no sudden deployments! Halo

NovaArt3mis · 05/03/2017 06:05

Hi jessy

Nothing new with me. Keep dreaming of a beach holiday but don't want to dip into savings. Anyone going somewhere nice this year so I can live vicariously please.

Singingforsanity · 05/03/2017 06:48

Af arrived this morning. Gutted, as yesterday I got what could have been implantation bleeding 😩 Anyway, here's to the start of this month.

Singingforsanity · 05/03/2017 06:49

Sorry hi Jessy!

TriJo · 05/03/2017 09:29

AF here too. Half an hour before baby swimming. That witch has GREAT timing...

kwick · 05/03/2017 10:39

Welcome @Jessybear90!

Sorry about AFs Flowers

We are going for a week at the end of May to Spain - flights were horrifically expensive as its half term but them's the breaks. And we are planning to go to Newcastle for the Easter weekend.

Jessybear90 · 05/03/2017 13:11

Ugh sorry to hear about stupid aunt flos!

AF always turns me into a crazy, mental woman anyway and now I'm TTC for the first time it will be much worse!

We are going to Jamaica in May, I was hoping that by then I would be pregnant but at this rate it's not looking that way! OH does all weird shifts and we keep missing each other! (As in when he's working im asleep and when I'm working he's asleep) that's a passion killer if I ever saw one Hmm
