Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

 1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
 2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
 3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
 4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.
 5. Thou shalt not be offended by the word vagina.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also known as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a Kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit), or PIATLH (Tea light holder), PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage (Self explanatory)

ROC = Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Optional decorations include photographs of controversial political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Jizz in a bra = how we transport the jizz to the Sperm Queen

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into TTC obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband (or Cuntraband) = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

SOTM = Shagger of the Month. Awarded with varying regularity to those viroids who go above and beyond EOD shagging in pursuit of that BFP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedingering!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

Doing a Lemon = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!

Miroid - The male compadre of a viroid

Cat - Compulsory

Skittletits - Killer molten painful tits and nipples

Ghost jizz/goat jazz - When the amazing foof sucks up all the jizz - achieved when coming at the same time/nearly the same time.

cookielove · 25/02/2017 15:18

Sorry late to the party as usual!

zyla sorry to hear this news! Are you having an ERPC? When I mmc we had one and the baby had genetic testing to see why it had died! This maybe something they offer to you?

Congratulations nohay 😁

Nothing to report here!

cookielove · 25/02/2017 15:19

kwick · 25/02/2017 16:47

A bit low cookie TBH. I have had a headache for what seems like days... very anxious about going back to work on wednesday. Going to see lala land later on - hopefully that will cheer me up a bit.
How are you?

Congratulations NoHay! StarStarStar

ZylaB · 25/02/2017 18:43

Hey cookie yes and yes, tomorrow...Though they usually only offer the genetic testing after three consecutive miscarriages and this is my second, but because I'm an old fart they agreed to it.

Apparently they aren't calling it ERPC anymore either..it's SMM (surgical management of miscarriage), think it's considered a slightly nicer name...

Singingforsanity · 25/02/2017 22:29

Zyla your fellow viroid's thoughts are with you for tomorrow ❤

I hope they can shed some light on what's happening so it doesn't happen again.

Flashinthepan · 25/02/2017 22:59

Congrats nohay!

Thoughts with you zyla.

Witch here too. A day early, 23 day cycle and only 10 day lp. What a bugger.

zyla thinking of you today Flowers

Sorry AF came flash and Angela

Thanks all, I'm going to go back to lurking

cookielove · 26/02/2017 16:20

kwick this must be such a tough time for you! My thoughts are with you!! Flowers

zyla that's good that they are checking for you! Our first child died due to a chromosome issue that was extremely rare as a result both my husband and I were tested to see if we were carriers! I found the whole process quite reassuring and it was handle really well! Sending out my hand to hold!

I am feeling all confused and confuddled at the moment we still are not ttc, E is affecting our sleep to much which sounds really petty when you think about. But still not ttc!

kwick · 27/02/2017 08:59

zyla best of luck today Flowers
What types of tests are they doing? My FC took bloods on Friday to check whether I am the cause of chromosomal issues (carrier analysis) as well as to check for thrombylia (or something like that). I did ask at the EPU if it were possible to do some testing on the baby but that is only possible if you have surgery and I did not want that, then was not allowed it anyway as my scan images did not fit the miscarriage criteria.

ZylaB · 27/02/2017 12:30

kwick I'm not 100% sure, it's tests on the baby. Though they did tell me after my preop that if I passed the baby at home before surgery I could bring it in and they'd still test?

jellypi3 · 28/02/2017 17:05

So who is TWOT'ing?

Singingforsanity · 28/02/2017 18:34

Me Jelly, af due on the 6th, are you about the same? I'm not holding out much hope this month, which is sort of making the twot easier. Yesterday someone I barely know (although I've 'sort of' known her for years) asked me if I had plans to ttc DC2. I mean who asks that?! 'Yes, I'm currently twotting, I'll let you know if and when af comes'... Ugh 😑

SofiePendragon · 28/02/2017 21:22

I think I iced in the last day or two so just starting the twot. Although, after last month's CP even if I get a bfp I'll still be worrying.

singing I don't really mind when people ask me that - I just say something like "actually we've been trying for over a year but it hasn't happened for us yet". People either shut up at that point, or are sympathetic - some people have told me that they struggled for #2 as well etc.
