TTC no 1
Cycle ?? - been temping for 19 cycles

I've just got some cheapie ovulation strips and I'm not really sure how to read them if I'm honest.

Is this definitely a negative or is it inconclusive as there's only one line?

Will there only ever be two lines when ovulation is near?

That's negative I think. You usually get two lines in the run up to ovulation and are ovulating when the test line is as dark as the control line!
Have you tried doing them in conjunction with an app like Ovia? Might give you an idea of when to test?! Sorry if this is really stupid advice!

Thank you both for your replies.. I'm using Kindara to chart my temps.. only cycle day 7 but as I'd had a massive spike in temperature this morning thought I'd better start today.

As it's the first month I'll be using them I'll probably do one everyday now until I know when to expect ovulation.

Kindara is brilliant! Best fertility app.

Spike looks quite severe, could be a mistake/illness... See what general pattern is next few days.

I think you were right new - if I ignore the first rise in temperature I would've had a more normal rise the next day (but still a negative opk) and then back down to the original temp again... I'll just keep testing and temping see what happens this month!

And you can click on "questionable temp" for anything you think was a mistake, so it doesn't count it.

Have you been TTC for 19 cycles? How have your other temperature charts been?
