Bleeding day after OPK

Ok ladies I'm really confused now.... Got my positive OPK yesterday morning and it was negative again by last night. I woke this morning with stabbing pains in my left ovary area of my stomach. I thought I was maybe actually feeling ovulation (haven't noticed this before, normally just get back pain at either side). I've just been to the toilet and there was a streak of very bright blood when I wiped! Now worried that I haven't actually ovulated and all my BD this week has been for nothing! Has anyone else experienced this?

The surge you picked up on your OPK was your AF. So sorry. What CD are you?

It's definitely not AF. It was just one light streak. When my period comes it's instantly heavy and full of clots. I'm only CD14, very confusing....

Could just be ovulation spotting. I've experienced this a couple of times.

I agree with delilah. I had some bleeding after dtd the other night when i suspected i was ovulating (positive opk and off the scale symptoms). This was also only a day or two after AF. I did panic at the time but after looking into it thought it could well be as a result of ov. I brought this up with my GP yesterday as i wondered if this was because i recently came off pill (id gone in for something else) and she said although unusual its not unheard of. I think for me it meant the rule book of ov times etc has gone out of the window!! Opk this morn was negative - although line appeared it was weaker. Now to wait until 15th Hmm For whatever reason i am feeling optimistic Smile

Sorry. Thought you were later in your cycle. OPK can pick up the surge before AF too. Are you new off birth control at all?

Positive okps can sometimes pick up pregnancy if they are not as you would expect. I would to a test to rule it out.

Definitely not pregnant unfortunately! Although given my huge back of OC test I may of definitely POAS Wink I've been off the pill since end of June. Stopped using condoms when we married beginning of October. Cycles were a bit wacky in between but have now settled to 27/28 days with Ov around 13/14. This is first month we've managed to BD all of the FW so I'm feeling quietly optimistic too. Last month we only managed one a few days before and then day of and after the positive OPK. Fingers crossed for us all!

My OPKs are still positive... surely shouldn't still be after 40hrs? Worrying I haven't ovulated now and my body's just being strange
