So ovulation test sticks have been showing up a faint second line the last two days.. Im on day 16 of cycle and have had longer cycles the last three months average about 35/37 days.
Temp is high but is up and down throughout the month anyway.
This was done at 1pm today and is the darkest its been. I know its supposed to be as dark as control strip tho.. Should i test later today or wait until tomorrow.. And i know the aim is to have sex before this but could i concieve doing it now? Or tomorow?!
Thank in advance

That's not quite positive yet but you are more likely to fall pregnant if you have sex before ovulation rather than the day of so get going! Test again later tonight after at least a 3 hour hold and no fluids during that time.

Also am i right in believing your egg can be released a few days after your LH surge?! So a few days after getting a positive stick test??

My OPK is weird, last cycle when I ovulated or was about to, it was way darker than control line but this month when CB suggested I was about to ovulate it was about the same that you got.

But generally think the LH surge happened 12-36 hours BEFORE actual ovulation. So I was suggested to dtd every other day from 4 - 5 days leading to the ovulation. But I also have vey irregular cycle so we only dtd when CB showed flashing smiley or solid smiley.

They aren't quite positive yet, but close. Yeah you will ovulate 12-36 hours (usually) after the positive opk. Good luck Smile

Test line is fainter again today...Dtd anyway.. But its very confusing! Part of my is concerned im not even ovulating!

Mrsharper could it be that ur not ovulating every month!? Like have you had any further tests to show you are.. Im thinking maybe cos its been like this for last 4/4 days that its not gonna spike :-/

The bottom one is very close. I bet another test a few hours after would have been as dark. Then you have 12-36 hours until the eggs released and then it can stick around for up to 12 hours sometimes. While they say it's best to DTD before hand and have swimmers waiting... you can still conceive after a positive OPK if there's some fast swimmers so enjoy tonight Wink

So today ot was clearly negative back to very faint test line. And temp up to 38.8 degrees c. Im taking it i ovulated yesterday?! And that was the surge the last few days. Dtd a few times over it and today. So here hoping!
