I have to admit I have been obsessing over ttc for 5 months. I've had 3 cp and been devastated. I've had sore boobs for 10 days and dizziness. My AF is due today, so I took a test. I'm not too sure if I'm seeing things.

All is fine, I have a bleed that will probably repair its self. I'm a bit earlier than I worked out and the midwife worked out, I'm just over 5 weeks!

Honestly if I didn't have Mumsnet I think I would have gone insane, my DP worries more than me so I get myself into a right mess. You're all so lovely, I did just have some weird discharge hard to explain and I'm too embarrassed to post the picture

That's another thing I forgot to tell you all, my doctor and the nurse who spoke to me after a scan said there is no such thing as a chemical pregnancy and they had never heard of it.. so strange! I explained that I had done pregnancy tests at home that came back positive then the next day or so they were negative. She said that's not possible...

When I went for my scan yesterday, I told them what had happened with me, which by all accounts was a CP, but she never mentioned the words chemical pregnancy. She said it was a very early miscarriage. Surely it must be a thing, it's so well documented on the Internet!

That's what I thought, but they hate it when you say Google don't they! The nurse said I wouldn't of been pregnant those times and that the hormone would have just been there... I was just relieved there is a baby in there so didn't question her.

That's understandable, I bet the relief was immense! It's a stressful business isn't it?! You take care of yourself and try to enjoy it from now on x

I'm good thank you. I'm not going to lie, it was pretty grim during those two weeks but mainly because I just didn't know what was going on. As soon as it became obvious what was happening, I felt quite a sense of relief. Last Thursday I, all of a sudden, felt like myself again. Everything seems to have settled down a bit and we started ttc again from Monday. I don't know if/when I'll ovulate this month, there may even be an AF thrown in for good measure, but it helped get me through it just thinking we'd get straight back to it. So we'll see how it goes. In a way, this is as good a month as any it could have happened to us as we're just so busy and have so many things to go to that we just don't have time to dwell on the crappiness of it all! Xxx

Keeping busy is the best thing to do, the not knowing is awful isn't it. It takes over all your thoughts but I am glad you're feeling better now and trying again. Keep me updated though! Xx
