Did it take you the same amount of time to conceive no2?

We're planning on trying for no2 in the new year. With out first I fell pregnant within the second cycle. No chemical contraceptives have been used for the last 6 years ish. In the time we were not trying to conceive we've used condoms. Can you wise mumsnetters tell me what were the timeframes like conceiving no2?

Two months to conceive DS, 18 months and counting this time around

Opposite for me. Took 18 months to conceive ds1. Dtd exactly once second time

9 weeks for dc1
5 weeks dc2
14 months for dc3 (miscarried at 6 weeks)
6 weeks for dc4
3 weeks for dc5.

3 months with my first, first cycle currently pregnant with my second. I don't think there is a pattern!

4 years for dc1, dc2 was a happy accident.

First month both times.

Not sure if there is much logic to this though.

Dc1 immediately, dc2 12 months.

22 months for DS1 and 36 months for DS2.

Roughly, a few weeks less second time. I don't think there's really a pattern though, lots of other factors come into it.

DC1 was conceived while I was on the pill and therefore actively taking precautions against getting pregnant.
DC2 took 15 months.

First one was in one night but 2nd took 4 months. I've had 5 other pregnancies and fallen in the first month so she was the longest.

Yeah sorry absolutely do not Bank on it taking the same amount of time (more or less) as last time. There really is NO pattern. For us, ds1 took a year and was an ivf baby. I assumed we'd have the same difficulties the second time so started trying as soon as my periods came back. 4 weeks later I got a bfp and I now have 2 under 2!

My god no. Took a year of really trying first time, so did not go back on the pill. Hardly had any sex second time around and still found myself pregnant with a six month old baby.
Also labour was days long first time and okay, 2 hours long and awful second time.

1 month both times

2 months first time. 8 months and counting this time. Currently on my first round of clomid too. Never ever would have predicted this!

First cycle for DS and now on Cycle 10 trying for DC2.

I think this this must be quite unusual but I have conceived on the second month of trying with five pregnancies. I am 43 with one fallopian tube out of action and it still happened in the second month. I was shocked to say the least!

Month 1 for #1
Month 5 for #2

With both my pregnancies I became pregnant shortly after stopping the pill- did not get a proper period either time, just the withdrawal bleed after finishing the pill packet

I was aged 34 and 37

Sadly no.2 ended in missed miscarriage at the dating scan

Still TTC on cycle 5 following the MMC

1 - 2nd cycle, but we weren't tracking cycles just seeing if anything happened.
2 - we were tracking my cycle and I fell pregnant straight away. Sadly lost this baby.
3 - started trying after losing our second, fell pregnant straight away again. Currently waiting to go into labour with this one. Come on baby!!

Ds- 5 months
Dd- well I got pregnant when ds was 9-10 months but I had been bf until 6 months (not using any contraception)and didn't have a period until 7 months so I'm guessing it was 2- 3 cycles.

9 months DC1
2 months DC2

To be honest I was expecting it to take longer second time round and wasn't quite prepared! We only dtd twice!

1 month DS1. Even put off ttc to avoid clashing with OH's brother's wedding, which sounds ridiculous now but glad we did...
9 months plus ttc #2.

Everyone in my NCT who had trouble first time round seems to have conceived really quickly 2nd time round, or at least not much longer. Just me who thought she was super-fertile-woman so left it later than I should've to try again.

2 months first time. 10 months second time but had a very early miscarriage the month before.
