OPK Confusion!

Hello! Been TTC #1 for 6 months and thought I'd try some OPK this cycle just to double check I am ov post 10yrs on the pill (Dr thinks I am as cycles are regular) and see if it will help, but I'm getting really confused! The instructions with the pack say to use your first pee after longest sleep but keep seeing in different threads not to use first pee of the day??
What do I do and what is the best time of day then??

The urine you use shouldn't be the morning one as LH hormone doesn't last in the urine, it disperses after so many hours. I've been told to use a wee after waiting at least 4 hours, best peak time is 2pm in the afternoon apparently.

Are they Clear Blue digital tests? I was also a bit concerned about the fact that other OPKs seem to tell you not to use morning urine, but I did anyway (I decided that it would be bizarre if they deliberately told you to use their product in an ineffective way!), and so far (only been using them for one cycle) they've worked just as they're supposed to: detected both high and peak fertility. I think trust the instructions - good luck!

Yeah it's the clear blue digital ones! I've done 2 so far and not detected anything but I'm only on CD8 so I don't expect anything until the weekend! Thanks for the answers! Reassuring to know I'm not doing it wrong!
