could i possible be pregnant or is it safe to start the pill again?

I have been on Diannette for a few years now and suffer from mood swings and lack of labido. i went off it last month to see for sure if it was the pill that was causing
it and i really improved. Neither my partner or myself like using condoms and we messed around quite abit throughout the month without using them properly. he
did'nt come inside me but came close to it on a few Occasions We are not looking to get pregnant i know we were silly but we would be happy to have a baby we just havent planned to try for a year yet so
we decided i should start the pill again but now i am worried that if i became pregnant that going back on the pill could be dangerous. i havent had a period since i stopped taking it. i know that most women would not get pregnant so soon after stopping the pill and the fact that he withdrew would also reduce the chances but i am still worried it is 29 days since i had my withdrawel bleed and 32 days since i stopped taking the pill. how soon could i test or should i wait until my period comes and how long should i wait for it???

Yes, of course you could be pregnant. Women are generally very fertile for a short period when they first come off the Pill, so you do need to rule it out.

Take a test before you start the Pill again - do it now, don't wait.

And if you're not pregnant, do make sure you use condoms properly until you're back on the Pill again if you don't want to risk a pregnancy.

Has anyone here ever gotton pregnant as soon as they have come off the pill. im just wondering how common it is?

Defo test before going back on the pill. Some women do get a surge in fertility in the few weeks after coming off the pill

i got pregnant with dd after coming off pill to wait for period to start again cos messed it up. period never came and dd arrived 9 months later! think you gonna have to do the test!

Can you remmber how long your cycle was pre-pill? Although it can change it is a reasonable rule of thumb to guage when to test. Should add that ther is a offer on Boots own brand preg tests at moment.

no i havent a clue how long they were before the pill cause ive been on it for years. i think my af is starting though i had i tiny bleed this morning but it seems to have gone away again it also looked different to normal (dark in color and very watery) sorry for being gross. anyway that was hours ago and now im just waiting for it to come back.
