Thread 21 TTC #1 - The one where all our cycles went haywire but we DID NOT GIVE UP

Calling all clomid-ers, OPK-ers, temp-ers and anyone else on the TTC Bus.

We are long past cervix prodding (in fact we know where it is at any given time just by closing our eyes) and we have ditched the Gregorian calendar in favour of the TTC Cycle Day calendar. We don't do baby dust, or baby-dancing, we just keep legs spread and fingers crossed (LSFX) We love a baby bomb from a prior bus-mate, but if we get told to 'just relax and enjoy it' ONE MORE TIME you will get a punch in the face. You get kwick-cake if you behave, and talked down from the ledge when you need it.

Hop on board, post your stats and prepare to be dazzled by the wealth of TTC knowledge we long-timeys have to share....

Hi ladies,

Still no af here, have been having tummy pains for last 2 days and loads of trapped wind but she's not due until Monday. I'm CD 25 today, approx 7 or 8 days dpo I think. Far too early to poas tomorrow morning? I have a couple of frers. Wouldn't usually but with the tummy pains... Felt so sick yesterday too, starting to feel quite odd now. Totally gone off my food, which is most unlike me! But good for the diet I guess!

Well done on the positivity tenner, we could all use some more of that!

Sorry Miranda, could it have been too early to test? When is af due?

Hope your day has improved Mrs , I'd go and see your go if at all worried.

Excellent news on he OPK music, it is exciting! Now LSFX!

Sorry to hear about af skip Flowers and sk1pper Flowers fx for next month for you both.

MouseLove · 24/11/2016 21:09

I'd say wait wanting until at least Sunday if you can. It's too early for real symptoms so you might be starting with something.

I've completely lost my marbles. Got on the tram to come home, sat for 30 mins before I realised it was the wrong tram and I was going the complete wrong direction. Yesterday I started to drive forward when I needed to reverse and on Tuesday I missed my tram stop and had to walk back home. And it's DHs birthday party tomorrow and I'm sooooo unorganised it's bloody silly. And it's not FLIPPING tomorrow, see I just wrote that and I'm not editing. It's FLIPPING Saturday.

I think I'm in the two week crazy mind stage. Seriously head up arse at the moment.

Londonjam · 24/11/2016 21:22

Mrsg maybe see how you get on this cycle and if you get AF you could look into getting him a test. Even if just for his peace of mind. Hope you get your BFP And don't have to consider it Smile

Sorry it was BFN Miranda hope you're alright

Miw I had a bizarre period this month too - light and only lasted two days with no cramps. Unheard of for me! Always have terrible cramps. Periods are weird.

Tenner it's always good to feel you've done everything you can Smile

Wanting that all sounds promising! Fx

I've got persistent almost constant ovulation pain in my left ovary. It's so strong it's really quite uncomfortable. OPK still negative, think it must be close though. More DTD tonight..

Alicejj8x · 24/11/2016 21:36

Hello I am new to this thread and just would like some advice please....

Here's some info about me :)..

  • had a mc in march
  • from April - September didn't have a period
  • September had a week long period
  • Sine the September period I haven't had one and still waiting
  • we are ttc but so frustrating without af!!

Have had blood tests a few weeks back to check everything everything was fine except one hormone was higher than the others - doctors not worried and told me my period will come

I have recently brought agnus castus to see if that can regulate me and balance hormone !! Fingers crossed for AF!

sk1pper · 25/11/2016 00:07

Mental note to self: do not take anadin extra 5 mins before bed time. FML

Miranda234 · 25/11/2016 07:07

Aw sk1pper hope you managed to get to sleep

AF arrived at 3.40am for me, think this ones making up for the light one last time, having awful cramps! On a positive note I now think I know when I ovulated, had slight cramps on the 12th which would make sense with 33 day cycle, I rather naively worked off a 25 day cycle so thought I would have ovulated on 6th latest so we were way off with our timings! Will use OKPs this time round as last cycles have been 25 and 33 days

Hope AF comes for you soon Alice

Have a lovely Friday everyone

sk1pper · 25/11/2016 07:13

Alice - welcome Alice, sorry to hear about your MC

sk1pper · 25/11/2016 07:51

Loads of my family (on both sides) have birthdays at the end of August. This cycle would give me a due date of around 22nd August. yes I looked I'm hoping this is the one...

Alicejj8x · 25/11/2016 08:03

Thankyou ladies :)
I've started agnus castus so let's hope this kick starts AF!!

MouseLove · 25/11/2016 08:22

It's my birthday on Wednesday. Please talk me down from testing early. Confused I'll be 11DPO. I only have the internet cheapies anyways. My tummy ache has subsided. I woke really early this morning, took my temp and it was super low so I think I'm out. Sad

Musicgrrl · 25/11/2016 08:29

mouse remember implantation dips!

MouseLove · 25/11/2016 08:32

I'd be 6PDO today if I oved on Saturday when my positive OPK finished. Isn't that too early for implantation? I'm being totally realistic here, I don't really think I timed DTD well this cycle. We DTD Thursday. Oved Saturday.

EJ2009 · 25/11/2016 09:17

That would be pretty good timing mouse. We are due a bfp out of us anyway.

Its my birthday and im avoiding letting my pregnant friend come over today as i really cant face it. Im feeling terribly teary, and self pitying about my lack of bfp this month and i dont want to celebrate. i have such a ball of pain in my chest and it seems rude to cry at her when she is innocently making a birthday visit.

geeup · 25/11/2016 09:43

Sorry to hear that EJ. I have totally been that person on my birthday and utterly sympathise. When I stared ttc I thought I'd have a baby in my arms while I was still 33. Now even if I miraculously got pregnant this cycle, I'd be 35 (a high risk mother according to NHS) before I had it. Birthdays and Christmas are major milestones for me and they're hard.

Londonjam · 25/11/2016 09:51

SadEJ Flowers I completely sympathise. It's my birthday next month and I'm already worried about crying through it. Try and enjoy some of your day if you can. Chances are you'll have a little one in your arms on your next birthday and this will all be a bad dream Flowers

MouseLove · 25/11/2016 10:15

Totally get that Gee, I'm completely the same. We started trying after my 26th and then again after my 30th and had to stop both times. I'll be 33 on Wednesday. It doesn't get any easier unfortunately the longer you have a baby on your mind. It's been my New Years wish for the last 8 years. Sad

MouseLove · 25/11/2016 10:17

EJ happy birthday hunny. Hope you have a lovely day regardless. It's hard when close friends are pregnant. Sending you birthday wishes. CakeFlowers

WantingBaby1 · 25/11/2016 10:34

Happy birthday ej, I'm sorry you feel like that, it's a difficult time, don't beat yourself up.

mouse wait if you can. I peed on a frer today, stupidly, 3 days before af is due and got a bfn.

Miranda234 · 25/11/2016 10:35

Aw Happy Birthday EJ. Hope the day gets a bit easier for you Flowers

kwick · 25/11/2016 12:03

Way way behind on thread!!!

In the space of a week 2 of the people report into me have announced they are preggers. I am happy for them she says through gritted teeth

mouse I would have punched friend in face - but then I am a bit hot headed!!

jam CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Amazeballs on the award winning!!! please may I have this miracle product whole stocks last?
StarStarStar

sk1pper Flowers for AF but yay on less cramps - maybe I just give that a whirl Hmm

hep there is a light at the end of the tunnel - hope you now have a fully functioning kitchen - please may we see a picture?

miranda you should be testing with FMU (and a FRER)!!!
I also think you should "accidently" trip up lady you run with

Really sorry fxskip Flowers

Congrats music! That is an achievement!

Got back to Blighty last night - it is fricking cold here!!! Am just heating up hot water bottle for feet!!

mrs if you can afford to I think having a SA is a good idea - so you can rule it out.

jam LSFX!!!!

Welcome Alice!
Sorry about your MC Flowers
It can take a while for AF to settle after an MC - I had one in MC and my AF is still not right - also this cycle I was at day19 before any sign of LH surge. I am not sure how good agnus castus is - best of luck!!!

Alicejj8x · 25/11/2016 12:11

Thankyou very much!!
I had a mc in April and then had a period in September but since then no period do you think it's still settling? Xx

kwick · 25/11/2016 12:12

Great picture mouse!!!

Sorry for AF miranda Flowers

mouse STEP AWAY FROM THE HPTS!!

Happy Birthday ej!!!! Cake hope you are feeling better.

Having a quiet day at home today after going to FC this morning to pick up some more fanjo gel (progesterone). Also have a work call at 2pm Angry no rest for the wicked.

geeup if I get preggers I think, at 42, I am classed as a geriatric mother... hope that offers some consolation!

Okay I feel like some PMA is needed:
I am a juicy fertile ripe lady
I am ready to receive every good thing in to my life
I am in perfect time

kwick · 25/11/2016 12:13

Probably Alice - do not give up hope! Alao shag as much as possible so you catch the post MC spike in fertility!!!

MrsG280516 · 25/11/2016 13:03

Yeah I told DH that we can go private for an SA if we're still not pregnant after 6 months. Looks like there aren't any independent clinics around near us though so would have to pay for a consultation at our local hospital which is £230 for or £165 for a male out-patient assessment at a hospital about an hour away.

MrsG280516 · 25/11/2016 14:18

Just bought vouchers for an overnight stay and spa for DH and I for next year in the Black Friday sales, so that must now invoke Sod's law and I'll be pregnant before we go! We will still go of course but I'll just have to stay out of the hot tub and sauna.
