Thread 21 TTC #1 - The one where all our cycles went haywire but we DID NOT GIVE UP

Calling all clomid-ers, OPK-ers, temp-ers and anyone else on the TTC Bus.

We are long past cervix prodding (in fact we know where it is at any given time just by closing our eyes) and we have ditched the Gregorian calendar in favour of the TTC Cycle Day calendar. We don't do baby dust, or baby-dancing, we just keep legs spread and fingers crossed (LSFX) We love a baby bomb from a prior bus-mate, but if we get told to 'just relax and enjoy it' ONE MORE TIME you will get a punch in the face. You get kwick-cake if you behave, and talked down from the ledge when you need it.

Hop on board, post your stats and prepare to be dazzled by the wealth of TTC knowledge we long-timeys have to share....

Crossed messages - didn't mean to ignore you gee. I wouldn't say that your chart doesn't look hopeful. I've seen plenty on FF that are like that with BFPs. (I look for that kind of thing because they look like mine!) Sorry about your negative test though. You have an appointment tomorrow don't you? At least you can talk to a professional about it soon.

Music are you sure they won't do your MRI scan? The doc seemed ok with me having it if I'm already preggers as it's the one scan they can give to pregnant ladies.

I had a temp rise this morning. But I had my electric blanket on for 10 mins last night. I woke up with a sweat on and temp had gone from 36 to 36.22. Probably the blanket.

I'm having pelvic pain this morning. Think the doc must have made me do too many stretches yesterday.

I know I said I wouldn't test but going to do it when I get home tonight. With the cramping I'm 50:50 now, just want to know...one way or the other. OH is concerned, he says I'm setting myself up for a fall. I'm sad he's so pessimistic.

*miw" How long have you been trying ? Just go to your GP and tell them you are having trouble they will start you on initial blood tests

skipper on a completely selfish note i am feeling quite down and i need an old timer to get a BFP so you better be pregnant :)!

LondonJam fingers crossed you ovulate later it really sucks if you don't feel like you tried your best !

star good luck on your scan do not worry is nothing to be scared of. I used to have them yearly at my general gyno check up when i was living in another country they are not painful at all but i understand you might be anxious about the results. I have a hycosy on Friday to and i am shitting myself not because of the potential pain but of what they might find !

Thanks everyone for your positive vibes! It's been said before but I'll say it again, I am grateful to this thread for all the support - through good times and bad.

Nicky - it's due Friday, it's always on time too. The thing that's really getting me excited is the fact I've had no brown spotting, I normally get 5 days of it. TMI, I've had a good feel around to make sure it's not hiding anywhere.

Got a load of EWCM this morning. No husband to shag! Will be keeping close eye on OPKs but I can't shake the feeling we are out already this month.

Miw lie about how long you've been trying to speed things along. Just say you're worried & want to start tests. I took DH to the appointment with me & the doctor gave us all the info for both of us.

Mouse I can understand your frustrations. Hopefully you won't have to miss many cycles.

She said ovaries & womble look really clear & healthy. No sign of any cysts etc. She said full results will go to GP in 1 week but it all looks really good so not to worry.

I am done, I tested (3rd morning wee) again today, FRER, like a maniac and of course BFN. If no AF tomorrow it will be my longest non-mc cycle yet but I guess that's just the way its going to be. Feeling a lot calmer now, I'm not wasting my precious remaining FRER and CBDigis that I have stashed at home.

Jam people seem to be concerned about the flu jab delaying OV - worth a shot?! (lol) I am sure you will be fine though, just jump on DH at first available opportunity!

Skipper she did an ultrasound first & said my bladder was so full & everything was really clear that there was no need for an internal scan. She spent quite a while looking around & said all looked healthy. She said it can take a while to get a BFP even if everything is healthy but not to worry & to keep trying.
Going to the cinema this afternoon to see Fantastic Beasts, I'm so excited, I love Eddie 💗 & then out for tea after.

Skip I'm on cycle 11. Sorry for BFN, you're not out until AF shows though, keeping everything crossed for you.

About it taking a long time - had this convo with a friend who is also long term ttc the other day. She said her dad teaches human biology and was talking to her about natural contraceptive built into humans as a kind of population control. Obviously we weren't ever meant to take man-made contraception, so the human race kind of is programmed to hold itself back. It helped me rationalise a bit why its taking so long. Just really hope its not too much longer.

Forgot to say fx for your hycosy Nicky I'm sure Friday feels like both forever away and way too soon, but you have nothing to fear. Either everything will be fine, or you'll know if theres an issue and what can be done.

So random of the day. I'm getting EWCM, very mild tummy ache and my lips taste faintly of blood. (There's no blood anywhere)

Star - how did you find drinking all that water before your appointment? I'm not going to lie, it was a living nightmare for me. I couldn't hold it and completely emptied my bladder 3-4 times before the appointment and once just 10 minutes before. I thought I'd screwed it up. When I got there she was like "wow, what a lovely full bladder you have". If I get a BFP, my next body project will be to fix my goddam bladder.

London - that doesn't make me feel better at all, nature can't pick and choose who it wants to reproduce. We are all perfect specimens - why is it not choosing us!!

Skipper I drink a lot of water anyway but even so after drinking a litre quite quickly I felt like I was going to burst! I was worried about holding it but just as it was getting very desperate I got called in thankfully (20mins early).

3rd Dec for me please. Although if AF isn't here I'll probably test on the 4th because I'm out all day on the 3rd.

To all those who are in the testing process i have questions please ignore my ignorance on how the nhs works
So i called the surgery today for my test results and the receptionist said its all normal
I asked if she could tell me qhat hormones where tested as i want to know of they tested TSH smand she said she can not give me numbers etc and the next appoitment with the go iam seeing is on the 13th of december (!) . So my question is what happens next ? Do they refer me ? Do i need to go to another appoitment for that ?
Sorry for all the questions is so different from what i am used to !

Ps fxskip mine is 14th of december
