HSG result - abnormal uterus, maybe a tear? anyone had this?

I had my HSG today (bloody awful but that's another issue!!) and although the dye flowed very well into my fallopian tubes (which is good news) it also flowed into another 'dead end channel' (don't know how else to describe it) in my uterus. The radiographer said she hadn't seen this before and couldn't really comment too much so now waiting to see gynae. However, I'm now so confused, this could be a tear following my erpc, an erosion following nasty infection that followed, etc, etc. Does this ring a bell with anyone else, and, if so, is it major, should I continue ttc? Don't know when I'll get to see the gynae so hate this not knowing again. Can anyone help?? Thanks.

sorry to be ignorant but what is an erpc ?

It's the medical procedure after a miscarriage to remove 'retained products of conception' (lovely phrase!), ie what used to be called a D & C. I had a missed miscarriage in October 2005 and after the operation then had a bad infection which I have suspected might be causing our problems in conceiving again, seems I may be right.

Hi Janus,Sorry to hear this havent really got any advise but,I should make an appointment to see your GP to talk about it. They might be able to tell you a bit more until you get your gynea appointment. Good luck.

Thanks girls. I rang the conception unit today and (not proud of myself!) burst into tears on the phone as they couldn't help as they are not connected to the gynae unit. They recommended I ring the gynae and get a cancellation appt. The lovely lady then rang me back again to say she has arranged the appt for 2 weeks' time as she thought I wasn't up to ringing. How nice is that? She made me start crying all over again!! God this emotional rollercoaster is miserable. Thanks again for listening.
