I know I need to test but

I can't face it. Last year at the age of 42 and over 7 years TTC we decided enough is enough. We came to terms and moved on.

Today I'm 43 and I am 8 days late. I've had some slight browny coloured discharge 3-4 days ago, but nothing like the awful heavy periods I usually have. I've always been regular, never more than 1-2 days late. I've had cramps on and off for over a week. My boobs feel like I'm due on still.

I'm scared. Of hoping, of the disappointment, bringing this all up again.

I just needed to write this down, as I'm convincing myself of all sorts. Could it be? Is it the menopause? Why is my body doing this to me?

I've been busy googling for most of the day, as I've got some spotting, but have doctors appointment later, so hopefully she will put my mind at rest?

Sorry to hear it didn't go to plan. I know it's probably the last thing on your mind right now but I had 2 early miscarriages & plucked up the courage to ttc as soon as the bleeding stopped. Both times I got preg straight away & didn't have the next period. The first time round I had been ttc for 3yrs & was totally gutted that within days of finding out it was over. But the one thing i did have was hope. I thought if it's happened then there's a good chance I'll get preg again. I didn't expect it to happen so soon!
