So... me and my OH have decided we're going to start ttc in Dec...
Just one problem. I have totally lost my libido! Wanting to have it back before December arrives!
I still find my OH Attractive and everything I just have no urge or desire to have sex at the moment and it's driving me mad!
Please tell me I'm not the only one, and anyone who's that experienced this how did you get out of the rut!

Are you taking any form of contraception? I came off the pill in June and my sex drive has massively increased!! Bearing in mind that it was virtually non existent whilst I was taking contraception xx

I am at the moment yeah, on cerazette, but only 1 pack left then we will start ttc.
I've heard that before, I'm hoping this is the case with me, it's just these past few months I've been like this want to sort it out before December so OH doesn't think I only want him for one thing if that makes sense haha!

I was the same as you. I was very worried that TTC would be more of a chore than a enjoyable experience as I had no sex drive at all. But thats totally changed since stopping my pill. Hopefully it will also work for you when you stop taking it xx

Hi, firstly. Start taking folic acid now. You need this in your system ideally 3 months before TTC. When you stop contraceptives it can take up to 6 months for everything to go back to normal, cycles & libido might be effected. I just had my first bleed off the pill which was 50 days long. It might be worth you finishing your current pill packet and then using condoms for a few months until your AF comes. Then you have a clear way to track things.

As for libido, ill be honest. Mine hasn't come back yet. Not that I remember having one anyways lol.

I was the same when I was on the pill. I had no sex drive at all. I was really worried that I would never get it back. Came off the pill - it didn't come back straight away but around the my 2nd cycle after the pill.

Yes dangle my super long cycle finally finished on Saturday. I was so relieved. Lol

Hellsbells, I don't mind waiting that long but like you at the mo I'm worrying it will never come back. I feel terrible on my OH he must feel very unwanted :/.

When I came off cerazette I was like a dog on heat... I definitely got my drive back.

Ive just bought some OPKs aswell to track if I'm actually ovulating when my app says I am xx

Hi. My big regret was not coming off the pill earlier to track cycles and get back to normal. I also got over excited the first couple of cycles as i didnt know sore boobs and bloating are normal for me etc.

Sex drive - mine used to be good but is on holiday. Ive got into the habit of regular sex and enjoy it but i dont seem to have the natural initial drive

Same here EJ2009, I hoped that by stopping my pill in June I would be at least a couple of month pregnant by now. I fell pregnant with my first son pretty much the first cycle off my pill so hoped it would be quick this time aswell xx

I did one test on CD36. But I'm a realist and knew I wasn't pregnant. There's no point me going mental testing like a mad woman when I'll have 9 months to wait in the end lol

We're going to my OH brothers wedding in Croatia in may so I'm just going to take it as it comes there's no rush if I don't conceive straight away I'm going to try not be upset about it (easier said than done) and concentrate on it more after the wedding, although I'd still be so happy if we conceived before.
