Bbt question please ( I'm a novice )

Hi I ovulated on 31/10
I'm on my first cycle of clomid 35 day cycle

On ovulation day my bbt was 98.29

Since then my bbt has ranged from 97.34 to 97.83

This is my first month temping, I know it won't say a lot. I'm a little confused just want to know if these temps are normal if I was pregnant ? Or if af is round the corner ?

My boobs seem more fuller and I have had constant nipple sensitivity, also very tired

Any advise would be muchly appreciated x

Can you post your chart? I use Celsius so don't have a clue but visually we could tell if the temps are going the right way.

Thank you, the graph makes no sens to me :/ but I've been reading up that if you sleep with your mouth open it will affect your temps, and I do sleep that way.

For the last couple of days I've also been temping vaginally and they have been much higher 98+ would you advise if I'm out this cycle to start temping that way x

We gave up on temping because it was all over the place. Just give them to the fertility clinic if they want them and don't think about them. You really have to wait the two weeks to see if you're pregnant. And then wait till 8 weeks to see if a heart is beating. And then wait to twenty weeks to see if the baby is healthy. Et cetera, et cetera. Might as well get used to waiting now.

I was told to temp anally because that would be more reliable if that helps.

It looks like you ovulated on day 16. And maybe interrupted sleep the next few days. Temps look really good though. What cycle day are you on today?

delilahbucket · 07/11/2016 21:03

It is far too early to have any indication of pregnancy using temps. This only counts if you have a high temperature for more than two weeks and you are at most only 9dpo.

Hi mouse

Thanks for your reply I'm becoming obsessed with it all, I need to chill out 🙊

I'm on cd23 today I've been having af type cramps, and last few days white vaginal discharge. Noticed it in underwear, my nipples are sore and I'm getting twinges in the side of my boobs. Hoping it's our month we've been trying a long time. I just wish I'd have charted and temped the previous months. X

How many days past ovulation should that count for Delilah ?

OP posts:
delilahbucket · 08/11/2016 17:24

At least 14 days. Even then it is not reliable. My bbt didn't drop until the day before af or even the same day so you really cannot tell.

Tinks100887 · 09/11/2016 09:36

Thank you Delilah. What a lovely name btw :) I've had a drop in my temperature this morning from 97.99 the last days some ovulation it's now 97.74 I feel like I'm about to start af I feel awful 😷 But not due on for another 8 days. Hate this waiting about and symptoms

It's my second name, had a change over the summer!
Bbt charting is a very useful tool. I learned a lot from it. I found my cycle after three months of charting.
It took until cycle 14 ish before I stopped obsessing about symptoms. I stopped bbt monitoring at this time after dropping my thermometer down the loo! We had received a diagnosis of male factor infertility and I just had to accept it was highly unlikely to happen without ivf.
