Every 3 days?

I was wondering if having intercourse every 3 days was enough when ttc? I have read people doing in everyday but I've also read doing it every other day is just as effective? What do you all think or do?

During your fertile week (leading up to and day of ovulation) if you only had sex every three days then you might miss the egg. I'm sure people have managed to conceive by doing it less, but if you really want to cover yourself then at least every other day in your fertile window would be better. During the rest of your cycle then you can spread it out a bit more.

I think every other day is fine. I think every 3 days might work but I'd do it more to give yourself the best chance!

I think you need to do it more frequently than that to give yourself the best chance.

NHS recommendation is every 2-3 days. We aimed for every 2 (around the week of ovulation) so that if we didn't fancy it and it slipped to 3 then it didn't matter.

I mean, my husband isn't aware there was a schedule, but that was what i was working to

We do every day around ovulation and every other day the rest of the time.
