TTC after miscarriage

I know there's probably loads of threads like this but i've been off mumsnet for afew months and suffered a miscarrage in sep 06 at 61/2 weeks, wasn't planned and was devestated. Now because i've lost it i can't stop thinking about having another. dp wants to too. Just found out that my sister is 12 weeks pregnant although happy for her (she's had bleeding ) feel abit kicked in the teeth. We tried this month but AF was here at the beginning of month.
Basically if you've lost one what are the chances of getting pregnant again and is there more risk of miscarry again>?? ta.

Hi Hannah,
So sorry to hear about your mc. My story isn't so rosy as I've had 3 mc's but I know lots of people who have had 1 mc and gone on to have no problems next time around. Having 1 mc is quite common as I'm sure you will find out if you have told many people, the doctors sometimes say that you're body isn't always ready for a pregnancy so that's why many mc first time around, but then it is more prepared second time around.
Good Luck, and keep your chin up. It is so hard to get excited about being pregnant when you are fearing the worst (believe me I know) but I hope everything is fine when you next conceive.
