Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (AF) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww. That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier.

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We like it when the grads stick around too. No question is too daft. We have opk experts, temp experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

I'm on CD16 today Hep but it's my first one off the pill so I'm not entirely sure what to expect!

AlexiaB · 23/10/2016 18:45

Aww skipper BlushGrin

Definitely getting darker Mrs G. Cd16 6PM is almost positive. I would hold and retest again tonight around 10pm or later as you can as you could miss your surge while sleeping. Looking good though! Get BD'ing Wink

Happy Sunday everyone!!!

Thought I would share again, sorry if you are sick of me doing so my top tips - garnered from picking & choosing copious amounts of research:
Pre-ovulation: to really help ovulation of nice healthy eggs, up your whole organic milk intake - I normally average 2 pints a day during these days
Ovulation/IUI/egg collection: stop excessive milk consumption; eat a fifth of a fresh pineapple, including the core, over next 5 days (to aid implantation)
2WW: keep your kidneys and feet warm at all times; laugh a lot; lots of visualisation and PMA

Notyetthere · 23/10/2016 20:12

MrsG - Definitely dtd tonight. The surge is near.

YouOweMeATenner · 23/10/2016 20:15

I'm having a mini crisis. Need help from all you calm and experienced ladies. I started temping and using the opks this month for the first time, and I've just got my first positive opk (I've attached a picture to show you all and for some confirmation that it's definitely positive) my panic is that we BDed yesterday afternoon, can't tonight because DP is away for the night and tomorrow I'm working late then have a commitment that will keep me out of the house until around 10.30pm. Will my potential wee egg by dead by then? Or should it be OK if we BD late tomorrow night? I didn't expect to see a positive opk as I've been watching my ovia score and it won't be high for another few days. I'm not sure what to do!

Wow that's a good positive tenner! You should ovulate 12-24 hours after a positive I think so tomorrow night should still be okay. You should have some swimmers waiting from the last BD too!

AlexiaB · 23/10/2016 20:30

Tenner you will still have some swimmers there to meet the egg from dtd yesterday. It's worth dtd tomorrow evening too as the egg will most likely still be there (you typically O 12-48 hours after your surge and the egg can survive for 12-24 hours). It really depends how quickly after your surge your egg is released. Your temps will be able to tell you fx.

Notyetthere · 23/10/2016 20:30

Youoweme - You could be alright. Sperm stays alive up to 5 days. I think you will be fine. I dtd on the day I got the surge. You can actually see from my opks and when ff recorded BD. The egg will be released in the next 12-24hrs and hopefully your hubby's sperm from yesterday will be ready and waiting. However, if you can, dtd tomorrow too just in case the egg takes its time.

Notyetthere · 23/10/2016 20:31

Sorry here are opks and graph

MrsG only for you posting that picture of yours with multiple opks for the one day, i wouldn't have bothered testing again. I'm glad i did, so thanks for posting yours. I just completely panicked there because i wasn't expecting it. I've managed to calm myself a bit now.

Notyetthere · 23/10/2016 20:34

Sorry x-post. Others said it better. Lol

YouOweMeATenner · 23/10/2016 20:35

Thanks notyet and alexia yous have helped settle my nerves a bit. If I post my FF chart, could you help me analyze it?

YouOweMeATenner · 23/10/2016 20:45

I'm not sure how informative it is. Today's temp was an unreliable one as it was a few hours later than normal

Thread 20 TTC #1 - We. Want. Babies.
AlexiaB · 23/10/2016 20:54

I think you could see it spike tomorrow tenner and that will most likely be your O day, based on CM and +opk. That one unreliable temp slightly raised above the previous could mean you see CHs in the wrong place. Only time will tell though.

OP posts:
Notyetthere · 23/10/2016 21:05

Yup Alexia has said it. You should see your temp rise tomorrow.

sk1pper · 23/10/2016 21:08

EJ - I'm 8dpo, definitely not preggers. Same trends that I always get: brown spotting, sore boobs, insane appetite, massively lethargic. I'm actually hoping AF isn't early again as worried my cycles are shortening. Fx for you xx

Kwick - do you know if coconut milk is a good substitute for whole milk (I'm guessing not). Doctor suggested I cut out homogenised milk and high wheat foods I case I do have endo.

Tenner - you should ovulate in the next 24 hours, so tomorrow night possibly too late (though I would still DTD anyway). Yesterday afternoon is perfect though, those sperm are still active.

Notyetthere · 23/10/2016 21:17

I would not worry too much about the unreliable temps as long as you take it while still at rest. I am a light sleeper so I could never temp at the same time. My set time is 7am but I might be awake at 5.30am which won't allow me another 3hrs. So I temp at 5.30am instead if I am awake. I try not to move much though at that time to ensure I don't raise/lower the rest temp.

miwelaisjacydo · 23/10/2016 21:21

Can I ask a silly question do opik show you your pregnant before pregnancy test? I read it somewhere has anyone else heard this

HepKestrel · 23/10/2016 21:25

miw a positive opk can be you are ovulating, your AF is imminent or you are pregnant.

so it isn't a very good pg test....

AlexiaB · 23/10/2016 21:29

Yes notthere I think waking up a bit earlier after solid sleep isn't much of an issue but I find waking up later makes a big difference. My 9am temp will be much higher than my usual pre-O 6.30am (usual) or 5.30am (hr earlier) temp. Everyone's different though.

My temperature chart looks like a graph of the rocky mountains. Seeing a pic of how it is supposed to look is only heightening my sense that all is not ok.
