Implantation Bleeding? Please help with advice!!

So i'm not actively ttc and therefore don't have accurate dates as haven't been tracking, but dp and myself realised we had used a condom that had expired a year ago! I thought nothing of it, until around the time that I know af is due (I don't know exact date) I got an extremely light period which is NOT like me. My af usually last 5 days and is medium to heavy, no spotting just comes heavy and goes 5 days later I never usually get cramps or anything.
sorry if tmi but it lasted 3 days, first day was brown (gloop?) when i wiped, second day was dark red blood when i wiped and streaked a tiny bit on a panty liner, also through the night the dark red blood covered a small panty liner but not heavy, then last day (yesterday) was lighter red blood when i wiped and then one last wipe of the brown again like the first day.
and thats it?? so bizarre for me to have a period like that..
i've taken about 5 hpt since the day it started , to the day after it ended (today)
so confused and don't know what to think! surely a test would pick something up? I have no idea of any dates as i haven't tracked but all I know is that we had sex 23rd with the out of date condom and the light bleed started saturday eve/sunday.
any help would be so appreciated !!

I had IB with DS and it was 4 days after that I got a shadow of a line on a test.

Similar to Fluffsnuts, I had an implantation bleed with one of my pregnancies ( not with the other 2 though) and got a faint positive on a test a few days later. So no advice except to test again in a few days.

thank you! I thought I saw a line on a test i did this morning (Probably just looking too hard lol) but tested again this evening and saw nothing.. must have been an evap? Trying to put off testing until saturday at least! so impatient!

I got a bfp on the third day after I had implantation bleed.

Although thats a lighter period than normal it still sounds too heavy for IB. I wouldnt worry too much especially if the condom didnt actually split or anything.

Haveacupoftea that's what I thought! But a few little things add up and I just have that little feeling... Only time will tell.. I heard some people have "periods" a week or so before the bfp ??

Yes, I think my IB started about a week before my period was due (it was a long time ago now so I can't remember exactly). It lasted several days I think, but was just light smearing IYSWIM. Best to wait till your period is a bit overdue to test again, and do it with the first wee of the day. I have had occasional mid-cycle bleeds that weren't implantation bleeds as well BTW, so it could just be that. My period was often a bit late those months. Sorry to muddy the waters! You'll just have to wait and see I'm afraid.

Does sound too heavy for an implantation bleed.

Also if you did implant on Sunday a hpt should be positive by now.

I'd take one more test this eve and then you can be sure it was definitely your period

Weetabixandtoast thanks for the honest simple advice! .. Going to do the test now - I know it's evening but at least I will have an idea if there is a faint line. I guess I know now it's unlikely but had that little hope .. Here goes

Oh melody so sorry, maybe if you're really now motivated to ttc then get some opks and get down to serious ttc?

Oh dear - well on the bright side if you've just had your period you're one step closer to this month's ovulation date so could fertilise soon!

Oh and also only use first response tests - they are by far the best and you can see faint lines easier. You'll get a positive on them 2-3 days before most other tests.

Why are you using condoms if you want to be pregnant?

Because although being pregnant would be the best thing to happen to me.. Not sure about dh , well, he doesn't want dc "yet" but would be ok in a couple/few years. This is why I work in a nursery; to have 30 dc for the day Lol!
