TTC- scarring after Erpc/D&C help!

This is my first post-- Please add your wise words! I am feeling totally distraught. I had a miscarriage at 12 1/2 weeks in October- my first baby. I have not had a period since then (4 months on). I feel really let down by GP and follow-up care. Have now been seen by a gynae who has diagnosed scarring of 1/2 my uterus from the ERPC. He now want to do a hysteroscopy and then put me on the pill. Has anyone else had anything similar? Please help as I feel v. alone and confused.

Hi lulu, I'm sorry I can't be of any real help but I'm just bumping this for you. I'm really sorry to hear about what you have been through - I'm sure that someone will be along soon with wise words

Bumping again for you.

Sorry to hear that lulu you must be really anxious. I think with scarring it depents on which part of the uterus is affected rather than the proportion. It is most important (but not essential) that the fundus (top bit) doesn't have scars.

I would definately have a hysteroscopy. At a guess that the gynae will be attempting to cut away some of the scarring and then the using the pill to stabilise your womb lining.

Did they tell you any more? when do you go back?
