Can't stop thinking about my age

Omg if one more person tells me I'm 30! I'm starting to worry I've missed the boat and have pcos currently on clomid. What if I've left it too late ? What if I'm too old for fertility treatment? Ffs

30 is not old.

Christ....

Chinnygirl · 21/09/2016 19:05

I started ttc at 34. Also with pcos. 7 weeks pregnant now at 37 although not sure if everything will go well of course. Relax, you have ten years to conceive ahead of you. That is plenty of time.

MewlingQuim · 21/09/2016 19:10

I started ttc at 30. I had loads of fertility issues but finally conceived DD at 38. Still haven't entirely given up hope for another in my forties Smile

TurquoiseDress · 21/09/2016 19:19

OP...relax a bit, 30 is most certainly not old and you have not missed the boat!

Sparklyslippers · 21/09/2016 19:21

My husband is 38 though so I'm worried about his age too. I always wanted two kids but by the time we have one he'll feel too old!

I didn't even try to conceive until 34 and became pg the first month. I had a mc, but conceived DS after just one month too, at 35. Don't worry!

Sparklyslippers · 21/09/2016 19:24

But I have pcos spank so I'm already disadvantaged.

After thinking I didn't want to have children I suddenly changed my mind at 37.5. I fell pregnant within two months although sadly had a miscarriage at 13 weeks. I then fell pregnant again 3 months later and had my son at almost 39! You still have plenty of time. You most certainly are not old!

Helbelle75 · 21/09/2016 19:30

Blooming heck! I'm ancient then.
I'm 41, dh is 42. We've managed to conceive twice this year. We sadly lost the first in May but I'm now 10 weeks pregnant again.
Tell them to mind their own business!

rhodes2015 · 21/09/2016 19:31

God I hope it's not too old! Im 31 and just come off the pill ttc but I just didn't feel ready before despite being with my husband since I was 23 and living together since I was 26. It's only hit me these last 6months that I even want children.

spankhurst · 21/09/2016 19:32

Sorry, sparkly, I have a massive cold and didn't clock the pcos.

If it's any comfort, my friend had pcos and endometriosis at different times, and has two gorgeous kids now.

Hurricane99 · 22/09/2016 08:39

I went to talk to my GP last week and one of the things I mentioned was being worried about my age (I've just turned 32). She looked me dead in the eye and told me to stop being ridiculous! She said I really have nothing to worry about for some time. Hope that reassures you

Sparklyslippers · 22/09/2016 19:33

Thanks hurricane but that's without fertility issues x

harrietm87 · 22/09/2016 21:23

Sparkly does pcos affect you more the older you are? Anyway there's nothing you can do about age but can improve pcos symptoms and get treatment so maybe focus on that instead!

delilahbucket · 23/09/2016 07:13

I was told by a nurse I wasn't getting any younger with regard to fertility. I was 30 Confused. My dsil had her third at 39 no problems. Watched the Alex Jones Fertility programme last night and she's 38. Her fertility was ok.

JonahAndTheSale · 23/09/2016 07:22

Are you actually ttc op?

Sparklyslippers · 23/09/2016 07:23

Yes jonah. Im on clomid then the next step is ivf if unsuccessfulSad. I dont relish the idea of ivf at all

I wish you well with it.

30 isn't old but I understand why you are concerned if you have some fertility issues.
