Day 1 of cycle??

Hi everyone.

I am trying to work out how late i am since AF last visited. However during my last period the first 3 days were more of a brownish discharge then i 3 days of normal bleeding.
I have been counting my cycle since the first day of my normal bleeding but should i be counting it from the first day of brownish discharge? Is that classed as a period?

From what I've read you count from the first full day of "flow" where you need a pad etc. I'd discard the spotting and go from after. Hope this helps x

Yes I've read the same. The first day of proper bleeding.

Fertility clinics count from the moment you have red flow. Brown discharge does not count.

Thats what I thought, just wanted to check incase AF is later than I thought. Still 3 days late which is a plus!!
