Day Nurse/Night Nurse medicine and pregnancy tests

Hi all
Please please help

I posted earlier today with two pregnancy tests that seem pretty positive and I'm overjoyed HOWEVER I just read that taking day nurse can result in a false positive test and I'm terrified it's not real.

Has anyone had this before? Am I pregnant or not

Please, anyone??

I havent heard of this but it sounds really unlikely. Only HCG can give you a positive test.

Hey, I got a strong BFP this morning and had a Drs appointment where I got another BFP but she said to try again in a week just in case so I'm not sure what to think!

Bottom is this mornings. Google suggests promethazine can take days to leave the system so I'm convinced it must be false positive and I'm devastated

I think the only thing you can do is give it a few days and take another test. Keeping my fingers crossed for you! (Although there's no promethazine in Day Nurse?). Also if you think you might be pregnant then best to avoid products like day and night nurse anyway.

Omg I think the promethazine is only in the night nurse part which I didn't take! I only took the day nurse part which contains paracetamol, pseudoephedrine and pholcodine.

Yes!! Husband and I have been trying for a year! I was distraught at thought of false positive and have been obsessively googling promethazine all day but turns out I never even took any!

Hopefully it'll be a good congratulations! Shame the GP didn't do a blood test for you.

If you took no promethazine then it's highly likely you are. :-)
