Been ttc for 9 months. Friend pregnant straight away.

Been ttc for 9 months, off pill for 1 year and nothing happened yet.
My best friend told me this morning that she is pregnant after stopping the pill 3 weeks ago! Argh! So so happy for her but my god I'm jealous. Felt like bursting into tears when she told me. Thankfully it was over a text so she didn't see my face.

Totally understandable! Not horrible in the slightest! TTC is a tough journey for some of us and it can seem very unfair sometimes when people concieve on their first cycle of trying or by accident without even trying!
Just have to try and not let it get you down too much, hopefully it'll be you with good news soon too

Not horrible at all. I'm in a similar situation, this is my friend's second baby, both conceived right away.

She went off the pill first time and got pregnant two weeks later. She keeps telling me to 'relax, and it'll happen'. I know she only means well. I have to stop myself from pointing out that you don't know what it's like to 'try' until you actually have to 'try'.

Not horrible!

I remember congratulating a friend on her pregnancy whilst we were TTC and then coming home and crying. I also remember coming home and crying 9 months later after congratulating her parents the day her child was born and cooing over the baby pics. Doesn't mean that I wasn't genuinely happy for her, just means that TTC is a mind fuck!

I spent 10 years ttc and arching everyone around me have 1,2,3,4 and even 5 kids in the time it's taken me to have 1 with lots of medical treatment. It's heartbreaking. Yanbu
