Pregnant or evaporation line

Hello

The test was negative at first but I can see a narrow but clear line after about an hour. To me the line looks blue which points away from evaporation line, but I thought I'd see what you ladies think.

I'll take another test in a couple of days, but I'm also very impatient. I'm ambivalent about the result either way, but would like to know.

Yeah, it definitely looks blue but it's also narrower than a positive normally is. If it didn't come up until an hour later I think it might be an evap.

I would say it's an Evap as its thin and off centre. I have had a few of these, but was so hoping for the BFP. Test again in a couple of days, you never know x

Still no period. The day after this test I did a clear blue digital one which said not pregnant (well that's what the second one said, the first had an error message).

I'll probably grab another supermarket one tomorrow because that'll be another 4 days from last test.

I'm in no rush to be pregnant really, if it happens, it'll happen, but I don't like not knowing what's going on in my body.

How 'late' is so late that I can officially put it down to my period being weird rather than pregnant? I figure there'd have to be a cut off date somewhere.

How many days is your period late? It's defo worth another test just in case x

Is it a sainsbury test?

The first one was sainsbury's yes. I'm now about 6 days late, did smother test yesterday and that was negative too. So I don't think I'm preggers, but if I'm still waiting for the Communists in another week, then I'll try again.

What is a reliable but economical test to use for these situations? I gather Sainsbury isn't well rated and I'm loath to spend £6 a go on the clear blue ones again as I get errors more than a conclusive result and it's such a waste.

Have you a £ shop nearby? Nothing wrong with their test strips

I found Tesco tests to be really accurate and also Superdrug's own

Any sign of a BFP or AF yet? Just read some of the comments and saw it was a sainsburys one, they well known for Evap lines, they gave me mine grrrr!

No period, no positive tests. I might try again at the weekend just to confirm.

It's weird though because I'm almost certain I ovulated as I get very clear ovulation pain and can even tell which side fired off (this month it was both, a day apart but right when they should be firing). I always thought you had to have a period if you ovulated?

My periods are either bang on regular or sometimes go haywire for a few months. I'm 9 days late now!

Wow, that is really strange, maybe it was actually a little later then. Limbo land is rubbish isn't it, I bet you just want an answer either way!

My period started about an hour after my last post.

It's complicated... I'm not very maternal, hubby is, and we've agreed to have a child, more because he's keen than me really. I'm not anti, but he's going to be the primary cater, and I'm happy with that.

It might sound crazy, but I'm sure that once I have a baby I'll love it like crazy, but I'm not in a particular rush to get pregnant. I'd like to know that my factory works OK, and know where I am, and eventually would like to get pregnant, but if it takes a few more months, then that's fine by me, but equally I'm content to get pregnant. I think.

I love the idea of us having a family together, and hubby will be an amazing father and is very ready for all this. I just wish he could be the one to get pregnant and give birth rather than me ;-)

I'm having the same thing at the moment. My cycle isn't particularly regular, between 26 and 36 days, but I can feel when I ovulate, and before ov and when I'm due on I get really clumsy, so I can usually tell.

Thus month I'm on day 37, have had none of my usual pms clumsiness, but have had sore boobs, constantly needing the loo, sweet cravings, sour cravings, lower back pain, headaches...all the good stuff! I did a test on Thursday night when I thought I would come on, negative but I figured maybe too weak. Did another yesterday morning (day 36) with fmu and again negative but still nothing.

Is it possible that there's a little streak of baby holding on but not getting picked up by the tests? (Clear blue but the kind with the lines not the words) or is my body just to torturing me?? Either way I'd rather just know!

Blueskyrain, glad you have an answer as not knowing is a killer. You sound very together with any baby plans you both have and who said that the mother needs to be the primary career when there's loving dad to do that role. You do what makes you all happy.

Rachaelcatwhisperer, I hope you get your answer too, finger crossed a line appears today for you. I hate the waiting, I always drive myself crazy then am so disappointed when it doesn't happen. i am due on today, have all the AF signs And BFN, yet still hoping....bonkers!!!

We are a very role reversed marriage in some ways. He does most of the cleaning, laundry, life administration but works less hours than me. We share cooking depending on who is busier.

He even had a button box for the sewing, and is an amazing baker. Im not sure on parenthood, but he'd be such am amazing father and I could see us having a lovely little family together, even if a bit different from many others. He's even planning on taking 6 months off paternity, though I'll obviously have some time off too.

I do wish he could do the pregnancy bit as well though.

If it happens, it'll happen. We haven't been 'trying' for very long really.
