Is it normal to feel like period coming once off pill?

I'm not sure if this is a good or bad sign. Been TTC. But it's not that long since I came off pill.. Last few days, I've felt like my period was 100% on its way.. Had the heavy feeling, slight cramps, aches down low. But no period..

I'm now 2 days late and no AF shown up..
Could I possibly be pregnant or is it normal side effects of pill withdrawal to feel like period is coming?

I'm going to do pg test tomorrow. :-)

Sorry - my title wasn't very clear. I meant to say, is it normal to feel like period on its way after coming off pill, but the period itself doesn't come..

Your cycle could be a lot longer than normal if you've only just come off the pill.

I agree with above poster. You might not be late at all. My first cycle off the pill was 76 days long!! Everyone is different but you have to just wait it out and see what happens with Cycle 1 I'm afraid. It can be very frustrating but just keep dtd every 2-3 days and that way if you ov you wont miss it. Good luck x

I'm wondering what happened in the end?
I came off the pill after 10 years as I really started to feel it was taking its toll! Not TTC so currently using other methods (probably not the safest but that's a different topic!)
I had my last period the first week of December 2016 and have not taken the pill since.
I am yet to have another period which I know is normal but I have noticed some strange things happening to my body (pregnancy test taken and came back negative so our current contraceptive method seems to be working!)

1. My boobs have grown and are so tender around the sides
2. My nipples seem to be much more pronounced
3. I am experiencing what feel like PMS cramping but no period as yet
4. Sex is SO much better and my libido has returned with a vengeance! (Although I never thought I had a problem with it!)
5. My vaginal fluid seems to have increased ten-fold!

Also, I was placed on the pill due to very heavy and very irregular periods when I was younger, how long do you think I should go without a period before going to see my GP? I read somewhere that if you dont have 3 in one year it is advisable to go!?

Yes could be either PMS or pregnancy symptoms, it's so wonderful of Mother Nature that she made the symptoms for both virtually indistinguishable isn't it
I guess you go book an appt with your GP and they would be able to do a blood test to see if you're pg. Although, if the tests you did yourself were a little while ago now, like over a week ago, I would be tempted to do another home test x

I think I will. Problem is, deep down in desperate for a baby but having discussed it at great lengths with my DOH we've decided it's not quite the right time, I just can't seem to squash my crazy brooding. With this in mind, I'm wondering could my body also be playing tricks on me?
Any ideas on how to cope with broodiness at it finest?! Xx

Our minds can be our own worst enemies at times like these! My only advice really is to try and busy yourself with other things as much as possible and try and relish at the things you can do now that you won't be able to when a little one comes along x

That's the problem, there's nothing I really enjoy doing that would be an issue if a baby did come along. I'm not interested in going out and getting drunk (actually, I hate the thought!), I'm not bothered about fancy holidays or meals in fancy restaurants. I'm happiest when I'm at home sat on my sofa with a cup of tea in my hand! Xx
