Hi guys, just starting the October bus.

I'm almost 33, have a DS (2.5 years) and am now trying for DC2. I caught pregnant on cycle 1 but unfortunately had an early miscarriage and am now entering cycle 5.

My current situation is that DH has been changing his mind over the last 12 months to wanting to try for another, then not wanting to, then wanting to etc and it's been very difficult. We have now come to the compromise that we can actually try up until next August but if nothing has happened by then we stop TTC.

I'm on CD3 now, I usually ovulate around days 17/18 and have cycles of around 31/32 days.

Good luck to everyone!!! Flowers

My DD already has a stuffed gorilla, don't know if I can look at him the same way. We're off to an ape sanctuary this month. I shall let you know if I see if I see any real life DTG!

sk1pper · 30/09/2016 13:43

mrspositive - i would be pleased to hear of any useful techniques, perhaps you could do a few diagrams/sketches?

MrsPositiveAttidude2016 · 30/09/2016 13:46

Sk1pper I can do one better. I shall document it via camera phone and post the pics Hmm

bairnsangs · 30/09/2016 13:48

Grin napping Suuz and Lulu

Haha Mrs do let us know!

"Working" from home today (Friday afternoon level of productivity), waiting for delivery of the Taking Charge of Your Fertility book and just generally having an obsessive day, I think I'm about 5 dpo.

DSS was pretty hard work this morning but also very sweet and lovely. I wonder if it will be easier or more difficult with a baby that grew in my own tum...random post but evidently I'm feeling reflective as well as obsessive today (emotions = symptom??) Wink

CaptainWarbeck · 30/09/2016 13:50

Sugar if it helps I got a BFP on 13dpo conceiving DS, I'd tested the 2 days before that and got negatives up until then.

Purple time for some gorilla action! Wink

Sk1pper chart looks promising, I like fertility friend. Fingers crossed for twins!!

I've got friends announcing pregnancies right left and centre at the moment. Really hoping I get a BFP this month or soon so I have some real life pregnant pals to compare notes with through the months. Last pregnancy I was all on my lonesome. Still waiting for a positive OPK, on CD14 today but not expecting to ovulate for another couple of days. No twinges yet!

CaptainWarbeck · 30/09/2016 13:54

Bairn if you're feeling obsessive, The Impatient Woman's Guide To Getting Pregnant by Jean Twenge is a thoroughly good read! I got it on kindle... impatiently Grin

sk1pper · 30/09/2016 14:01

Are any of these books useful, I keep contemplating getting one but assume most the info can be found online?

CaptainWarbeck · 30/09/2016 14:12

Yeah to be honest I think it probably can, that book is very readable though with interesting stuff on research about trying to plan the sex of the baby, all the different things you can chart and best times to test etc. I think the fertility friend website has an ebook about it all you can download for free, that's informative but a bit more dry.

MrsPositiveAttidude2016 · 30/09/2016 14:14

Captain I totally sympathise with you. A friend got her BFP in Feb and I started in March. She's due in November and I'm still babyless. I was hoping we'd be bump buddies.

Sk1pper I like The Fertility Diet by Sarah Dobbyn. I have another one wich is like a 3 month plan and I don't like that she says if you don't get your BFP in 6 months then you need to get tests done. Every one knows it can take a lot longer than that for even the healthy people. The book is quite unrealistic in other ways too, such as you should only eat organic and you should have no enjoyment in life.

Me at around 7pm tonight

Captain and Mrs I'm in the same boat with pregnancy buddies, I've missed the boat with a couple of friends (their lovely babies have arrived) and don't think anyone else I know is TTC just now Sad

I read that book already Captain ! Quite enjoyed it - nice and clear and quick to read. Will definitely consult again! She recommended Taking Charge so I thought I'd get the paper copy of that to help with TTC but also for non-hormonal birth control in the future...perhaps...I'm thinking about it.

Flapper 😂😂

bairnsangs · 30/09/2016 14:31

Honestly can't get over those gorilla pics Flapper Grin

skipper I'll let you know what I think about it and whether it seems any better than the info I've been able to find online and on MN

MrsPositiveAttidude2016 · 30/09/2016 15:05

Flapper I dread to think what you typed in to Google to get those pics.

Bairn I have another friend who has not long announced her pregnancy who stated trying well after me. Surely it's our turn now?

Writerwannabe83 · 30/09/2016 15:06

Grin Grin @ flapper!! Loving the idea of green gorilla baby outfits!!

I've bee crampy this morning and when I wiped I had clear wet CM tinged with a few flecks of blood so I'm sure my period is on its way. I've had this before and dreamed it was implantation bleeding but it never was so I'm not doing it again.

Omg Flapper that made my afternoon. I've had a hectic one at work and I'm having a sneaky mid-afternoon hide before going back to my desk.

Urgh. Well AF still not here officially 2 weeks now since finishing the pill and nothing. Tummy aches eased a few days ago. Had hardly anything today apart from needing the loo for number 2 a few times which is weird but knowing my luck I've had a bug or something lol

Anyone POAS this weekend???

Flappergirl86 · 30/09/2016 15:36

Mrs what I saw can never be unseen...hopefully it can be wiped off my internet history.

Sorry to hear it's not looking hopeful writer but you're still not out. Do you have a gut feeling one way or the other? x

Flappergirl86 · 30/09/2016 15:40

mouseI'm gonna POAS / PIAOCLPADASI (pee in an old contact lens pot and dip a stick in) but only for OPK so it doesn't have the same thrill. I'll post some pictures anyway because why not.

PurpleHaze1 · 30/09/2016 15:44

Flapper. GrinGrinGrin

purplebella · 30/09/2016 15:59

I'm going to hug him every day while I'm in my fertile window for luck!

When I took the photo my DD was going " no don't sell him", I think I'm on ebay too much!

sk1pper · 30/09/2016 16:01

Doesn't sound good writer I have to admit, especially if you're having some PMS.

I've had no PMS yet, was feeling bloated and heavy a couple of days ago now but now my tummy feels tight, like I've been working out. And still no real spotting as such just a tiny bit of old blood. I'll know for sure tomorrow if AF is on its way or not as the PMS normally hits me the night before.

MrsPositiveAttidude2016 · 30/09/2016 16:45

Mouse I have a weekend of POAS but like Flapper it's nice the exciting stick, and then I shall enter the dreaded 2WW AGAIN! I have a pee pot which I pee in first, but it mostly goes over my hands. They say practice makes perfect, not in this case.

SoozC · 30/09/2016 16:52

Flapper, a contact lense case?! Mine are all really small, I'd have trouble aiming accurately! I pee in a picnic cup that lives under the sink Grin
