The October Bus - hoping for lots of BFPs and Summer babies!!

Hi guys, just starting the October bus.

I'm almost 33, have a DS (2.5 years) and am now trying for DC2. I caught pregnant on cycle 1 but unfortunately had an early miscarriage and am now entering cycle 5.

My current situation is that DH has been changing his mind over the last 12 months to wanting to try for another, then not wanting to, then wanting to etc and it's been very difficult. We have now come to the compromise that we can actually try up until next August but if nothing has happened by then we stop TTC.

I'm on CD3 now, I usually ovulate around days 17/18 and have cycles of around 31/32 days.

mother - all women's luteal phases remain the same length, so if you were 14 before you'd be 14 now. So I'd say that you have ovulated late this time. With doing some OPKs next time just to be sure?

elles - it means youre past your fertile window now so your body starts to make a different type of cm to kill any sperm left near the mouth of your uterus. I think creamy stuff is toxic and clear stuff is non toxic. What was like like leading up to ovulation?

My temp is even higher today and I don't feel periody at all now. No spotting anymore either. Even if AF is due, i am pretty happy with my temps, it means i don't have a luteal defect.

I had a dream that my sister did some tests on me and worked out why I couldn't conceive. The results were on a pink slip and when I got it, the results were terrible and I woke up. I took everything I had not to cry.

On the plus side, your temps sound fab. Have you any plans to test?

Managed to DTG last night but no temp rise this morning so hopefully ovulation happens today & I get a rise tomorrow. Hoping to get another bit of loving in later but will see how DH feels...

BFN for me again this morning but there may be the faintest whisper of a line if I squint a bit and hold it at a funny angle (totally doesn't count!). Still no AF so if that holds out I'll try again tomorrow. Been feeling slightly nauseous the last day or two but that may be unrelated/in my head.

Also (and you've got to laugh at my optimism here) but I had ovulation pain from each side this month on two consequtive days. A chart dip post ovulation can be an implantation dip - check out my chart. But with no other cycle charts to compare it to, I am probably clutching at straws here.

I haven't even got a squinty squinter so I think I'm probably out. I'm going to DTG tonight to see if it encourages my period to arrive

Mouse, just think, you have it all to look forward to. I had my first a month before I turned 34 and my second a few months before I turned 36. And I was the first of all my friends.

writer - do you feel super crampy? A really hot bath normally does it for me, are you sure you're out though? :(

Not testing till Sunday morning. I don't have any symptoms yet so hopeful but preparing for the worst. Got some super absorbent tampons arriving in the shopping order today lol

Great chart sk1pper! As you say, without one to compare it to it's hard to say if that's your normal but it looks promising to me! By 9dpo last month my temps started to drop & continued to drop until AF a few days later so I knew I was out.

Definitive positive OPK today. If it follows the same pattern as last cycle, I'll ovulate today. I'll need to put my best underwear on to persuade DH to DTG later. Ha ha!

Still no actual appearances of AF though so dont lose hope yet girls! Any babies that come from this bus have to have a stuffed gorilla as a first toy in honour of our Silverbacked fertility spirit animal. I'm on a promise for some DTG tonight, its the first day of my fertile window so hopefully it wont be a repeat of Wednesdays dry (very dry) run! x

Morning ladies. So it seems if I mention baby making to my DH he's tired and not interested. But if I let him have a full evening on Fifa, order pizza and generally leave him to it I get ravished and have a wonderful DTG session!!

I'm enjoying this practice malarkey lol

Glad you had an enjoyable evening mouse I try not to mention to DH when my fertile week is as I think it adds the pressure. Although I think it's probably fairly obvious as I suddenly become sex mad!

Hi when do you all start testing? Im so tempted to go and buy a frer to use tomorrow but i will only be 10dpo is that to early. This is the first month i actually ovulated after my misscariage so im so impatient to know either way. Im 29 and trying for baby number 3 first two were conceived the first month trying.

Thanks Sk1pper - i thought as much. It will be interesting to work backwards from AF to when i actually ovulated. And yes i am going mad with the OPK sticks for next cycle!! A bumper load arrived from Amazon the other day...

I am also going to start temping next cycle, i love a graph and some data analysis!

Reflexology is supposed to help - i am not sure of all the science involved - as a scientist myself i am a little cynical BUT if it relaxes you and focuses you it can't be bad can it?? It is basically an excuse for a foot massage and an hour's peace!

I think I'm going to chart from next month if there's no luck this cycle. Learning so much here on MN! On CD16 and in the TWW. Ovia says 9 days to pregnancy test and I've got a FRER stashed so not long to go...

Nausea is definitely not in my head, I've felt quite sick all morning. Convinced myself it was definitely a sign then realised nausea is a side effect of the vitamin B complex I started taking yesterday. So it's probably just that.

Bairns, that tea towel is so cute! I'd totally make it into the toy. Just have to keep my fingers crossed as I dtg tonight!
