Firstly- hi to everyone!

Little bit about me I suppose wouldn't go a miss, so here goes

Me and my husband are 29, and starting trying for our first. We've been together 8 years but spent most of the time travelling. Finally deciding that it's time to 'settle down' and start our own little family, having met so many whilst travelling.

Had the implant out a few months ago (end of May) but left it until now to try so that any hormones are out of my system. I know they say you're fertile and can conceive straight away, but we didn't want to risk it, and we had one last trip to the states - I didn't want to be pregnant for the first time abroad as I didn't know how my body will react, with morning sickness etc.

Anyway, I think that's me.

The help was regarding all the acronyms used! I've read a few posts and the ones I can work out are:
Ttc - trying to conceive
Oh - other half
Dd- darling daughter

I'm stuck with the others that are used. If anyone knows of any that are used could you post them here so I can remember them!

Ta muchly!

Good luck on your conception and pregnancy journeys!

Doing the deed
Big fat positive
Ovulation prediction kit
Conception date I think?

PurpleHaze1 · 03/09/2016 18:03

CD = cycle day

I had the implant out at the end of May too Smile

There's an acronym list if you click on the little v/down arrow by "Talk" at the top.

Welcome :)

CD is cycle day.

(Doing the deed is slang for sex. Only in TTC circles for some reason.)

Thanks everyone!

I'm on a mobile app so don't appear to have a drop down by talk, though I'll have another look around. Still getting my head around what's (hopefully) going to be happening in the next few months!
