Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We've got a few grads sticking around I won't leave and no question is too daft. We have opk experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

Haha kwick they're something that comes up on fertility friend (and I assume other similar apps) when you are temping that tracks when it thinks you have ovulated based on the shift in temperatures after ovulation. You need three raised temperatures for it to register ovulation and put crosshairs on your chart.

AlexiaB · 23/09/2016 16:30

Music I second that, it's awful not knowing whether you're in or out. They took my crosshairs because my post-O temps were too low. My pre-O temps are usually between 36.05 and 36.20, my temp dipped down to 35.79 the day before "O" (which is typical of my charts) and then it came back up to 36.10, 36.35 and 36.40 but it then never went any higher, unlike my last chart where it continued to rise to 36.50/60/80. My last 5 temps have been all been around 36.24 and 36.15 which is too low, so it took the crosshairs away at 10dpo. The only way I'll know if FF is wrong/right is if I get AF within the next 2 days. My luteal phase was only 9 days last cycle though so it's not looking likely.

Do you know why your temps might be erratic? Are you sleeping well? I've been sleeping really well so I know that I'm temping under the right conditions, I just don't know why I got a fake O dip +spike. How long have you been charting for? You will hopefully soon discover that you have a usual pre and post O range and will be able to rely on that somewhat.

AlexiaB · 23/09/2016 16:32

Lol kwickGrin Music summed it up perfectly. It's fertility friend language.

Peaches8Posies · 23/09/2016 17:21

Noooooo!!

FW week should be ovulating this weekend and I'm completely floored with sickness and diarrhoea Sad

Hopefully everyone is getting on better than me. Catch up once I'm better x

Musicgrrl · 23/09/2016 17:27

Alexia I agree, the only way to know is when AF turns up. At least it gives us a starting position again! My temps have been erratic because I was on holiday one week and then the next week had norovirus. Both messed with my temps and the week I was sick was fertile week so I'm all out of whack now. Didn't ever get a positive OPK but had a temp jump so assumed I had but now they're coming down quickly. My luteal phase is also around 8/9 days from my charting so far which is only 3 months. How long have you charted for?

Peaches I had that last week! Hang on in there! It's likely that your body will delay O so hopefully you'll be able to get back on it when you're feeling better and won't have missed the opportunity for this month. Wishing you well!

Pugmummy87 · 23/09/2016 17:31

Alexia your temps look just like mine. Normally around 36.10 - .30 pretty ov and then dip down to just below 36 when on the rare occasions I do ovulate and rise up to 36.80, but the around 6/7 dpo it goes hay wire and swings from 2.0 back up to 7.0 then back down again.
I take my temp same time each morning, after at least 3 hours sleep.
I have pcos and apparently it can give you 'Rocky mountain' style temps.
So opks are unreliable for me, now bbt also is! Fed up to the back teeth of it all.

My asthma has also worsened over the last couple of days cue emergency trip to GP this morning and now on prednisone for 5 days.

Oh and what else passed me off today. Finding out that the apparent latest trends on social media is fake pregnancy announcements.

Sorry for woe is me post.

AliceScarlett · 23/09/2016 18:20

Weirdest trend ever Confused

LondonJem · 23/09/2016 18:23

Fake pregnancy announcements??? Wtf? Envy Sorry your asthma is up pug hope you are okay

peaches feel better soon, ovulation was delayed when I was poorly hope your ovaries hang on a bit

Had large prosecco in the office and a g&t in the pub oops Confused

Pugmummy87 · 23/09/2016 19:39

Yes apparently people put up a fake scan pic and then write a long winded account about how they found out they were pregnant and what their plans are and then right at the bottom it says something like 'fooled you! I was fooled too, as not many people will read all the way to the end. If you were fooled, copy and paste and see who you can fool'.

I mean wtf?! How insensitive to those who are struggling to conceive, those who are unable to have children and those who have had a pregnancy/baby loss. Dumbest trend ever.

I am getting there thank you jem, hope you are doing OK after your DH's SA result.

bluebird3 · 23/09/2016 19:46

Sorry you're having such a rough time alexia. I have absolutely been there, but now after 21 (I think?) cycles I'm now like jelly and don't care so much. I no longer expect to get pregnant as I'm sure we will need medical intervention so the tww means nothing anymore. I don't wish that for anyone, but it has given me a break from the emotional roller coaster which is welcome.

Agree..Facebook is the devil. I need to disengage as I never look at it and come away happy. I'm either super upset by pregnant/birth announcements or just neutral.

LondonJem · 23/09/2016 20:11

So insensitive, and totally pointless. Idiots. To be honest pug I haven't worried too much about the SA. His other counts were good, and reading around the jury seems a bit out on how reliable and how important morphology is. He's seeing his GP to talk about it some more so will wait and see what they say.

AlexiaB · 23/09/2016 22:17

Music yes being sick and in a different environment will have affected your chart this month. I've been charting since April. I've only had a couple of good charts, a mc chart and now this month. Still got so much to learn! I've been taking b-complex to lengthen my LP so I'll let you know if it works, if I ever confirm ovulation that isHmm

Pug that's funny how our temps are so similar. Sorry you're feeling so fed up, too. That Facebook thing is so insensitive/stupid. I actually saw it last year on there. It must still be floating around.

bluebird thanksFlowers I actually don't get my hopes up at all anymore in the tww. It's the waiting to ovulate thing that's been stressing me out, and especially lately with how crazy my cycles have been. Gosh you've been doing this a long time! I hope you get the help you need very soon. I don't get why it has to be so hard for some.

I think I should put out a public service announcement on Fertility Friend because everyone I talk to gets a BFP. No word of a lie last month I was in a group of 8 people and 6 got BFPs (me and one other didn't, but she now has this month lol). This month I've been in a group with 6 people and 3 have BFPs already, one has a positive beta and one is waiting to test. SeriouslyEnvyConfusedHmm. I'm obviously happy for them but it feels like a sick joke.

Ps. I realise I've been a right moaner lately but I'm really struggling and this is a great outlet for me. Hugs to you all.

sk1pper · 23/09/2016 23:57

Hi all, just caught up on the thread, it's been a really busy day. Sorry so many of you are feeling down, if I had a genie I'd wish for BFPs for everyone on the thread. It doesn't seem fair sometimes.

That Facebook craze seems completely toxic. I hate Facebook. I have an account but I deleted the app from my phone to stop me from using it. I only pop on from time to time to check my sisters travelling updates.

Also have been temping for the first time this month and got my cross hairs the other day. Happy to share my chart of anyone wants to see what FF looks like, or how it works.

Mooseville · 24/09/2016 06:21

I am literally in a state of shock!

I am utterly symptomless other than achy legs which is my usual AF treat. Boobs normal Hmm

I can't actually believe that the test is correct????

The top test is a three for a £1 poundshop cheapy which I just peed on to placate myself. I literally saw a shadow on it and wound myself up so much I used the FRER.... and then that happened????

DP is away at his parents, I'm gonna have to tell him by phone which seems awful unless I wait till tomorrow when he's home?? But then it seems awful I know and he doesn't - (and half the Internet)??? Aaaargh!!!!!

Congratulations Moose beautiful lines!!! Grin

Binkybunny13 · 24/09/2016 07:50

Moose- congratulations! Excellent news!Grin Woohoo!

Sorry I've been absent- AF (bitch) turned up very early and I was not in a good place. Have no idea what happened as surprisingly cycles have been pretty regular since came off the pill in Feb, but I am now geeing myself up for cycle 3 activity. Have started EPO and enjoyed a few days of blue cheese, booze etc to make myself feel better

Have been reading through what I've missed and I'm sorry to hear others have been having a tough time BrewCake Loved the PMA plans though- maybe Moose is the start of a run of BFP now?- LSFX to all!

Si1ver · 24/09/2016 08:01

Moose! Amazing lines, congratulations!

EJ1986 · 24/09/2016 08:03

Congratulations!

I got a BFN this morning. Feeling really down. There is a conspiracy among all my female friends that they will stagger pregnancies so i have to cope with a birth a month throughout 2017 Sad

kwick · 24/09/2016 08:12

The temping malarkey sounds very complicated!

Sorry you are not well peaches - hope the s&d passes quick Flowers

pug get well soon Flowers

Oh alexia does vitamin B complex lengthen cycles? I have been taking for months and not noticed any change except after MC Confused

I am getting up the nerve to change over my sky box - I have had the nee sitting there for weeks - but whenever I touch something electronic it goes wrong....

Musicgrrl · 24/09/2016 08:32

Congratulations Moose that's such great news! Have you decided whether to tell DH today yet? Which cycle were you on?

Sorry Binky and EJ - that sucks

Si1ver · 24/09/2016 08:33

I'm so sorry EJ it will be your turn soon xx

AlexiaB · 24/09/2016 08:34

kwick it's said to lengthen the luteal phase (ovulation to AF bit) to give you a better shot at implantation. If you already have a 12+ day luteal phase you're fine. I haven't confirmed ovulation yet this month so it'll be some time before I know if it worked.

sk1pper · 24/09/2016 08:38

Yay moose!!! Xx

Nicky883 · 24/09/2016 08:47

Yayy another bfp !!! Congratulations moose !!!

sk1pper · 24/09/2016 08:51

Does anyone know if I should be worried about this temp drop? First cycle temping and I think it's meant to stay elevated. Possibly to early to draw any conclusions though.
