Still no period after 10 weeks on Metformin

I was recently diagnosed with PCOS and have been taking Metformin for 10 weeks now (2 x 500mg a day).

I came off the pill (Gederal) in October last year, had a few periods, but none since February, not even spotting. We have been TTC since January, so I am waiting on a referral to a fertility clinic.

Does anyone have experience with metformin? Did you have to wait longer than 10 weeks for your periods to return?

Metformin doesn't always work for everyone. It reduces your sensitivity to insulin. Do you have PCOS?

If you need to induce a bleed, I'd ask for provera, a type of progesterone. Xx
