Trying to concieve

Hi there,
I need some advice and would be grateful for any responses...
My husband and I have been trying to conceive for quite a while now.
We started trying consistently for more than a year in 2013 - 14, but took a break because being unsuccessful was getting hard on us. I then changed my job and we got married so we were not actively trying for a while but we were not being 'careful' and we were doing it around ovulation.
We've now been trying consistently since December 2015 and are yet to conceive. We are both 33 years old. We are both quite healthy living, exercise quite regularly and eat healthily. We hardly drink alcohol and don't smoke. I've been tracking my cycle for more than a year, and it varies between 25-28 days each month.
Each month I hope that I'm not going to get my period, but unfortunately I do. I just need some advice on what my next steps should be, or whether it's normal for it to take this long?
